In a mix those higher frequencies won’t come through as much!

I mean, the other part is that Joe is litterally screaming at the top of his lungs.
On a channel like this, you couldn't really teach that.
This isn't a bad way of getting a similar thing if you want to do it more safely, but it's gonna sound different even if he did have a similar voice. listening to him live, his false chord is rattling a lot more intensely than this and it's definitely hard for Joe to control.

Oh, and Gojira, in my opinion, pretty much has always been good. I don't like some of their songs, but all of their albums are amazing, even if they aren't as good technically as other bands. Gojira has the best lyrics and music writing out of all the other bands I've listened to, there's so much meaning behind pretty much all of their songs.

Any tips on not losing your voice with this style of scream-singing? I've got the sound down pretty well but lose my voice after I've done it for too long.

It's not similar but you can tell you know what you're doing. The technique that Joe uses is very unusual and requires a lot of care to do. anyway congratulations ❤
