In this video we go through the basic steps for diagnosing a faulty power supply.
These are common problems with APW7 Power Supplies.

انا حاولت ازيد الفولتيه بس وصل معاي 12.7V بس وانا ابي 13.8 شلون الموديل الي عندي Bitmain APW3 ++ 12-1600-A3
Greetings, friend, I have the same source since the first moment I bought it, new from the box, when connecting it, it had an internal short. when checking the MOSFET 48nm60 its three pins were shorted
I think mine has the same issue.

Hello Tony, it could be anything honestly. Maybe a bad solder joint on a transformer or a componenet.
The MOSFET was shorted and burned out the thermistormistor. I changed those trtre components and it turned on but at the output it only had 10v and about 5 minutes later the mosmosfet exploded
It could be a manufacturing defect. Maybe some SMD components around the PWM chip are bad or it may be the chip itself. You can also check the big capacitors if they are good. Sometimes they malfunction or have less capacitance than stated on the label. Careful while working around caps

What is the info for the diode i cannot find anywhere on my PSU on that diode writes only AH23 FS3J (i see the manufacturer is fairchild) Can you give some specification for the diode. Thank you
Manufactured by FAGOR. It's a 600V 3A diode. You can replace it by the ES3J if you want to.
@@RoyTabdo I don't to be very questioning but in my country (Macedonia) we are very low on supply with this kind of goods SMD etc... I can find this normal diode 1N5408, SI-D 1000V 3A, so can i use this i don't think so that this diode is fast recovery? Thanks again. And for the mosfets k39n60W can i use IGBT mosfets with the same info?
@@ilijaapostolovski6118 I would personally recommend that you use fast recovery. Try the BY399 Diode.

@@RoyTabdo Im using STW45NM60. And right now i'm seeing datasheet doesn't look to me that is IGBT. I haven't notice at the shop told me that is IGBT.

I have a power supply that input volt 110 to 240 and out put 14dc, the problem is it working in 110AC BUT NOT WORKING IN 240, Please help me to find out the problem
All SMPS have feedback circuitry. They measure the output voltage and feed it back to a PWM IC, which obviously varies the PWM that controls the input voltage.
You can find this PWM IC by following the output traces of the optocoupler. You might need to replace it first and check if this solves your problem

@@sudheesht1388 No , I won't recommend that you bypass the IC. You will have two scenarios, either your output MOSFETs will blow up, or the PSU won't turn on.
Неправильная сборка такие БП и термистры одевают в термоусадку в 4-5 слоев что бы от взрыва не испортил другие элементы блока питания
That's correct. It's a factory design flaw. Some of these PSUs are a knock off the original Bitmain PSU.
@@RoyTabdo мне нравится такие блоки но хотелось бы 50v 20a и что бы не было биения вольтаж и ампеража и что бы работаспособность была долгой , и качество сборки вот и ищу среди них такой что меня удовлетворит
سلام استاد من یه منبع تغذیه بیت مین دارم تق تق صدا میده و خروجی ولتاژی ندارم مشکل از کجاست؟
