King theater staff didn't expect a full crowd since most of their sold out concert doesn't always have 100% attendance. Security metal detection is also slow since some of the fans have a lot of things being carried like personal bags, luggage, cosplays and ita bags. Hoping they improve the security checkpoint flow tomorrow and have early entry for the fans.
with all the recent far right shootings at concerts, its better to be safe than sorry.
@@sim.ulationkoyoWhat recent far right shootings? I haven't heard of anything recently what did I miss?
I bet some classical concert, with ticket far mor expensive, didn't give em full crowd like that
They probably don't have many people bring bags to concerts. This probably threw the venue security for a loop.
@@sim.ulationkoyosince far left shooting are a norm, a rare far right shooting took the news easily, sometimes with media biased it's all we hear.
Hololive Dodgers fans:Wait why this feel like Deja Vu?
I starting having ptsd from my time at the dodger game.
Only an hour extra wait this time, ezpz
The Dodgers game was so much worse, only 1 tent for thousands of people, it lasted the whole baseball match and more. Security had to kick people out even though they had waited so long.
This is nothing in comparison.
Fun fact: Kings Theatre originally opened in 1929 as Loew's Kings Theatre, a vintage movie palace. It eventually closed in 1977 and was left abandoned and decaying until its a restoration project started in 2010 to save the theater. It was soon reopened in 2015, now restored to its original glory as a performing arts theater. There are several Loew's Theatres in the NYC area. Loew's Jersey City, Paradise Theater (formerly Loew's Paradise Theater) in the Bronx, Loew's Valencia Theater in Queens, and the lost Loew's State Theater in Times Square, which was replaced by the Bertelsmann Building after it closed in 1987.
Edit: Just found out that there's actually a 6th Loew's Theater in the area. The United Palace (formerly The Wonder Palace) in Washington Heights, Upper Manhattan, in the heart of Little Dominican Republic.
It turn out save the theater by Hololive concert
How many is the sitting capacity?
@@Ben0TheNeko For King's Theatre, it's only 3,000. Half the size of RUclips Theater last year.
Queen was once farmland and Central Park isn’t a naturally made area it made made even the lake and I think the World Trade Center old was designed by a Japanese dude and manhattan was a bit smaller they dumb trash into the lake and build on it
@@USSAnimeNCC- They didn't dump trash into the lake. They used the dirt excavated from the WTC site to reclaim the land that the World Financial Center across the street from the WTC now stands on.
1:33 this man really had one at the ready
Imagine how confused bystanders were seeing such a massive line lmao. Similar to the dodgers game, this concert surpassed all expectations, yet another hololive w
I agree with what you said, at this point, Yagoo should take into account these videos uploaded on Twitter of the queues for the concert and some event, For next year and the following years they should choose a place that has capacity for 10,000 people or a stadium that holds more people.
@@TheRedcoatVtuber the fact that this keeps happening also is for "clout" and "buying power" many venues wont sell to you if they dont belive they can get their money back by renting the place to you, instead of someone else.
This will certainly make Hololive look more impressive in the market, despite it being just "cute cartoons dancing for weebs"
They were taking pictures and watching us from their front porches
@@ero-senninsama1734Exactly. Most shows 'sell out' but a good chunk never show up because the tickets are held by scalpers. Its very rare for a sold-out show to be actually, you know, *sold out*.
I'm willing to bet Cover tried to warn them, but they didn't listen likely because they've heard it before only for it to turn out to be nothing. And Cover is still establishing itself in the US. Until today, they had no reason to believe it would be like this except the Dodgers game, and that was easy to write off as a one-time thing.
This... left a bit more of an impact, and is something Cover will be able to cite in the future.
Eh the issue here compared with Dodgers is King's theater knew exactly how many seats they sold, and should've been able to tell Cover how much time that would take to load.
Seems like a fuck up on King's part here tbh.
I'm a little proud of this XD shows just how far they have come. The tickets sold out sign on the theater made me laugh a little.
I'm hoping that this proves to bigger venues that Hololive EN Concert 3 is capable of filling up. It would be wild to have an arena-sized performance in NA.
I agree with what you said, at this point, Yagoo should take into account these videos uploaded on Twitter of the queues for the concert and some event, For next year and the following years they should choose a place that has capacity for 10,000 people or a stadium that holds more people.
@@TheRedcoatVtuberits not really on yagoo, but more on the local organizers. They couldn't give a larger venue since they think there arent many people that will attend.
@@TheRedcoatVtuberBro you are commenting on every comment but forgetting that it’s not all on Yagoo. Venues like this is ultimately the one that decides how entrance processing (tickets and baggages) works while the ‘renters’ give them the number of attendees, what equipment they need, how the program will flow, and other stuff directly related to the performance.
LOL yeah. Keeping it in Brooklyn, the ideal venue is quite close, just around 3mi away - the Barclays Center.
And hopefully one a
I and mamy others can go to. Definitely saving up for next time.
Hololive: the definition of "suffering from success".
Wish I could've been there but tickets sold out. I'm happy that everyone got to see their oshis up close maybe next one.
and, unlike many other concerts in the world, it looks like there was practically 100% attendance too
0:23 that's Korone
Fauna hats! Also was that a Korone cosplay in the yellow jacket?
holy shyt no wonder it was delayed LOLLL, at least they did let everyone get in yet, i had an extra hour of sleep before the concert started
I really liked last years Connect the World line. We waited about 10 before doors open, wrapped around parking lot, and the very back. Once doors opened it didnt take any more than 20 minutes to get just about everyone checked in. Really efficient and 10 minutes before the show.
I didnt attend this concert. But it sure looks like it was not suited to welcome so many without prep.
Gotta hand it to the RUclips Theatre. With all the events that happen in LA, I guess it comes with the territory. Excepting of course merch lines (dodger stadium).
@@extremely_human8598 I mean Dodger Stadium always has issues with crowds so that's on them.
Honestly it is not Cover's fault anymore
It is the venue staff
They clearly underestimated the number 1 vtuber agency
Reality can be whatever i want.
~ yagoo, probably.
They just can't stop underestimating Hololive. How many times we have to teach you this old man? xD
"I love the young people," says the partnered venues' managers seeing an unusually packed line for a hololive event they're hosting.
I mean they sold all these tickets, they already knew how many people would be there.
Dodgers staff on HoloDodger collab: This is what it felt like that day
If i had a nickel for every time America underestimated hololive this year, I'd have 2 nickels. which, hey, it isn't a lot, but it's neat that it happened twice
Edit: This was supposed to be a joke comment btw
You'd think they would have learned by now that anime is very popular in the West and yet they act like its a niche thing that only two people are into here in the USA.
Pretty sure it's the other way around. America underestimates hololive not comprehending average subscriber count is 700k+ and event showing is 120k+.
Yeah, sounds like this one was on Kings Theater and their security. Cover likely informed them what to expect, but either they didn't believe or just seriously underestimated the demand.
I agree with what you said, at this point, Yagoo should take into account these videos uploaded on Twitter of the queues for the concert and some event, For next year and the following years they should choose a place that has capacity for 10,000 people or a stadium that holds more people.
On top of being unprepared for the volume of attendees, I wonder if the venue is not used to having to do so many bag checks. This place normally hosts musical performances or standup comedians. The kinds of events that hardly anyone would take a bag to (aside from a purse or small clutch). Meanwhile a lot the attendees are attending the concert similar to how they would attend a convention, bringing big bags and lots of items.
That being said, it shouldn’t make that big a difference.
This is why I arrived 2 hours early. I was like right up at the front of the line. I had no idea it was that bad until it was almost start time and half the seats where empty lmao
Eventhough I cant get myself the ticket for the event, seeing my Oshi having fun with her fellow Genmates were already enough for me.
Same
I’m happy to see that hololive is getting bigger and bigger everyday
All the talents deserve much love for there incredibly how they are kind and nice and a lot of fun to watch
Hope someday I can be there see them close
1:43 Our people right there folks :)
Bro is speedrunning the uploading lmao. But just to clarify it was Security not really Holo at fault. They were really over checking people with only like four scanners
Appreciate the videos fam 😂
I didn't watch the full concert so I have time to do this 🙏
Sad part is they have to go through all this just to prove to the bigger venues they can be filled.
Ok but can we acknowledge how nobody was cutting in line or being pushy, even on the way out when it ended, like thats a first for me 👏👏😭 (edit: actually people were very polite/considerate at connect the world too)
Well, most of VTuber fans tend to be on the introvert side, and i think they know how unpleasant it is on the receiving end of that, so it become an unspoken agreement not to do that to eaxh other?
Meanwhile, Nijisanji EN had to cancel their concerts at Anime Expo due to low ticket sales.
"Negligible financial effects"
Yacht boy just cant take a hint
That such cancellations are big time embarassments for him as the so called ceo
He is better off sticking to japan and sinking in japan
Because they lost in the overseas market
Not after what they did to selen and the never ending controversies that followed after
hololive en: sold out
nijisanji en: barely sold any
it speaks for itself
Turn out people want their idol to be treated as human beings
@@USSAnimeNCC-context?
Despite difficulties, they still very civilizied. Very wholesome
add King's Theatre to the list of venues/websites who underestimate the sheer will of Holofans along side the Dodgers Stadium and the VidID cruise
Man here we go again.
The U-word.
Underestimate hololive once again
I've never seen the interior until now
but damn, the cognitive dissonance of how the theatre looks to what's being performed on stage is massive 😂
Cover: are you prepared for the up coming event?
King's theatre mngt: oh sure we are prepared (and they weren't)
I think its funny the amount of times the brand of hololive is underestimated in terms of customer turnout.
Just like when Miko says wakata when she very clearly does not wakata
For real tho appreciate the security doing their job for a deep inspection regards it may have slow the process. It means a lot.
I am glad I attended the event, All the hard work and hard days I spent were worth it. It was so beautiful and fun and living it together with others like you is much better now I find myself again 1000% thank you girls. I love them ❤️
This is reality now i guess
Kuro: with this money I'll buy a yacht
Yagoo: with this money I'll conquer the world
Now we got the ENcurse even irl
Hololive is not a company
It is a force of nature that *MUST* never be underestimated
it's a trial that separate the genuine simps from the normies
that line must have been torture sense it was incredibly hot out there
If this was somewhere closer like Texas I would definitely have tried to go
@@kylewood4488-b9rSame
@@ryanbolt1841 as someone from texas who stood in this line, it wasnt all that bad. No humidity, and high of like 83 or 85. It was hot but bearable
Venues gonna have to realize who they're dealing with and step it up. Hololive is well known enough at this point, it's their own fault if they underestimate the crowd.
Once again, Western companies collabing with Hololive underestimating the number of customer antendees. This is the 2nd time after Dodgers x Hololive collab event, this really need to be studied once again to prevent another underestimation.
This is why they need to do multiple showings across the country.
1:33 It’s a smart move but lmao 😂
I think this is not Cover's fault though.
It's the Venue Staff and Security still Underestimating Hololive Fans.
If anything Cover should've or might have warned them that this will happen after the Whole Dodgers merch line incident.
Welcome to New York everyone, enjoy your stay
when I saw the guy with the binocular on twitter I laugh so hard lmao, and poor people that had to wait for so long, at least the concert was totally worth it
Hololive concerts are the dictionary definition of "Suffering from Success"
The theatre looks really nice
Yeah it reopened in 2017(if im not mistaken) after a major reno, its a really historic brooklyn theater
It's almost 100 yrs old. Opened in 1929, closed after a bit, left to decay, got renovated and now it's back to it's former glory. I had my high school graduation ceremony there a few yrs back.
Beeg
Perhaps Cover will choose a bigger venue next time lol
Well they have no choice. Getting a venue is harder than it looks
Its not that easy plus its still just the 2nd concert. There's still more to come and obviously they'll improve.
@@ShiroganeKaiser considering the big success of Holo EN and they said Thier main focus is global expansion we can expect EN5 to debut next year followed by a concert
I agree with what you said, at this point, Yagoo should take into account these videos uploaded on Twitter of the queues for the concert and some event, For next year and the following years they should choose a place that has capacity for 10,000 people or a stadium that holds more people.
It's because they're so dead set on hosting events in conjunction with an anime con. I understand they want to give people more incentive to attend and travel. But I feel like holofans are dedicated enough to travel even if their sole purpose of said travel is just the concert.
Was at the concert last year at youtube theater. The line was very long, but at least the building and infrastructure were made for it and accommodated well. This definitely was not designed for this many ppl lol
I tuned into the stream, went to my kitchen and made dinner, ate it and washed the dishes all before the concert started.
I love how you can immediately tell who's a sap
Negligible could never.
To be fair, I don't think this one can be helped. Except maybe let people enter earlier? All of the sidewalks have already been filled and you can't make too many people stand in the middle of the street.
Talk about suffering from success!
At least all the fans who got tickets were able to make it in and watch the entire concert.
Compared to those of us that went to Dodgers Stadium and waited 5+ hours, with some people leaving empty handed or getting kicked out by stadium security
The true meaning of breaking dimension.
Oof. Hololive EN sure does love their gargantuan line failures 😬 Stupid security nonsense
Guys they know how many tickets were sold and so the number of people attending it's the security that definitely hindered and slowed it. Fans have alot of baggage etc. to be checked
Lmao I didn’t expect my video to be here. EN Curse aside, Day 1 was freaking amazing!
EN Curse is broken enough and- oh wait this isn't HoloCure. Whoops.
Yeesh, they can break dimensions and traffic in one concert. Impressive, ladies.
It was truly an amazing experience, though. I loved being there with everyone.
hololive just broke the theatre domain 0.0
The world still underestimated us
Cover: Underestimate
Anycolor: Overestimate
That one guy with the 1800s villain curly mustache in the back: "Nijisanji."
Just as I imagined using the classical binoculars at a theatre, I saw 1:33
Niji could only dream
EN curse too OP
I soon wonder how long it will be before we are using "Wembley's" as a unit of crowd measurement for Hololive events and size of venue?
Hololive does not consider how big hololive is
It's good to see how popular Hololive is now even in the west, but hopefully Cover learns to prepare ahead and improve the queue times since it can cause problems if it keeps happening.
this isn't on Cover. its the venues responsiblity to handing things like security queue times lines and the like. in this case the venue underestimated how many of those that bought tickets would show up. they knew the number of tickets sold, the number of people who also tried to get tickets after they sold out. its on the venue for not taking it seriously and as a result being understaffed to deal with it. Venues have the privledge of Choosing who they want to host it takes more than just a stack of cash to use a venue. so people can say oh cover should just choose a bigger venue. problem is in america only the smaller venues are willing to take them on. the bigger venues don't believe taking Cover on will result in that high a turnout. but now that is two times that venues have underestimated hololive so this is gradually turning some heads at the sheer brand power of Hololive.
also it was quite funny that after the delays, the EN curse went over to Justice's stream and kept crashing their stream LOLOLOL
They bravely tanked all the EN curse vibes. 😆 o7
Justice sacrificial stream for the scuff gods
im baffled as cover thinks they have to be conservative in their expectations for concert attendance in NA... they could easy fill up a medium/big stadium for the girls to perform in
"sold out" -understatement of the year
Omg i'm so happy for all of them
The curse of record-breaking success.
Thank god I was able to skip all that by having a disability
Wow, the one time having a bad leg is useful
I liked that koro san cosplay very cool
Ah lines, my enemy in both writing and waiting.
the reason i dont go to popular concert irl, its too much pain than the excitement
Now i can see why it was delayed an hour. I had streaming ticket
absolutely amazing honestly.
Yeah after the second announcement I figured it must be all the bags and plushies that is holding things up. I highly doubt the staff has ever had to deal with patrons personally carrying that much stuff per person before. At best they probably deal with purses for people coming to the venue. Hopefully they'll have more throughput for tomorrow.
venue: wth is a vtuber? can't be that popular
simps: hold our beer
That binoculars thingy is _soo_ fancy! Eleganto!
That massive line gave me Hololive Dodgers flashbacks. They didn't learn anything from *_that_* lol.
I know right? It's like they think anime is still not as big here in the USA then it really is? I wonder why Hololive has this mentality?
Its the theater side issue. They clearly didn't see this coming despite knowing how many will come.
I think this was planned waaaay ahead of time so they couldn't just cancel their contract with the venue and upsize, but I also would not doubt if its more so that larger venues don't know enough about the community to think it wold be worth making a contract with Hololive, as its an unknown player in NA for the most part.
Hopefully between this and the Dodgers game this is a way they can prove that they are not some no-name foreign company but rather a company that can fill stages on-par like Top10 musicians do.
You guys act like its just so easy to get a big venue like snapping a finger lol.
I agree with what you said, at this point, Yagoo should take into account these videos uploaded on Twitter of the queues for the concert and some event, For next year and the following years they should choose a place that has capacity for 10,000 people or a stadium that holds more people.
Security guard: Is going to be a long day
That us absolutely incredible and a long queue indeed 😱
thankfully they were much better with it on day 2 and let people in earlier.
Cursed with success.
Damn. I wish I had gone just to see this. That’s funny.
Suffering from success.
Hopefully the staff are prepared better today lol. They were probably very overwhelmed yesterday.
i think hololive is still testing the waters for EN concert sizes. dont want to book a larger venue and not able to fill the seats. so they have to start small and sell out smaller venues to prove to bigger venues that they can fill them.
it happen to dodgers now this they not learn
@@cheemslord9917 dodgers and a large part of the "west" still dont know "hololive". they lack the prestige that someone like "taylor swift" has and who is world reknowned and people who dont even listen to her know her. hololive has certainly come a long way but its still a long way to madison square garden (almost 20k capacity). the venue breaking dimensions is at, "kings theater" has a capacity of 3k.
American venues continue to underestimate Hololive
Lol. This is gonna be EN tradition
TEN BILLION HOLO AGENTS RISE
At this point I expect hololive will soon become some sort of legend to these places "never ever think you have prepared enough for hololive, if you think you are, you aren't"
The issue is not because too many people as in they already know it was sold out, thus know how many people would've come. The issue is mainly during the security check where there were not enough gates and/or the check were too slow which probably not the venue's fault since they probably didn't expect everyone to bring a lot of stuff inside (thus more things need to be checked).
Damn, it worth the wait!
Couldn't attend due to tickets being sold out like pancakes😊
