    It’s funny how people obviously are not paying attention to the info in the video and jumping to the mc4 connection part. I stated the wire was FREE, larger gauge then what I needed as well. Cutting some of the wire to slide in the connector to clamp it is ok. the wire is 25% less BUT the connector mass is even larger then The missing 25%. Apparently there are some trolls that have no electric education and lack logic.

      I do electric all the time and those "ends" will not see a volt or amp drop because there is so much of the cap material to make up for wire clip-to-fit. it has to be less then 50% to make a difference.

      Smart idea. He just did an improper install of the ends, however. Don't cut strands like he did. For 15 ft (30 ft round trip length) the voltage drop on the right size cables is going to be essentially 0 V. You won't start seeing any noticeable voltage drop until your cables reach around 50 ft (100 ft round trip length). By then you can start using junction boxes to install larger wire in the middle to compensate.
