I'm probably overcompensating but I've been putting in a fair number of 1 drop evasive creatures into the deck to help make sure that I have a cheap creature that can more than likely get damage in to hit. Things like Got things like Eye Collector, Goldhound and changling outcast so far and plan on adding more.
Commander tax is added when you pay to play your commander from the command zone, and you can choose to leave your commander in the graveyard if they die. so if you have a reanimation card/ability you can prevent the commander tax stacking. Do be wary though, if you put your commander into the graveyard or exile you can't move them back to the command zone at will. Moving the commander to the command zone can only happen when they would be moved to the graveyard or into exile, not once they're already there.
So if a card lets me bring a card from the graveyard to my hand can I just put my commander into my hand and play it from there? And would this also hold previous commander tax if this isn’t the first time?
@@apexbudderman9539 To quote the MTG website "A commander can be cast from the command zone for its normal costs, plus an additional two mana for each previous time it's been cast from the command zone this game" so commander tax only applies from the command zone, so you can cast it from hand tax free

I thought during the attacking and blocking phase, if a blocker gets removed from a removal spell that the damage gets nullified and doesn't just move to the player instead of the damage trading against creatures?
Yes you are correct so use the removal before your opponent can declare blocks
