Oh ya. I have facial hair now :)
+DocOssareh Hey DocOssareh! I'm a premed student who absolutely loves your videos. Thanks for everything you do for us. I just had 2 questions. Can you make a video on how to impress in a Med School interview or address weaknesses such as GPA, MCAT, or Extracurriculars on a personal statement when applying to a Med School. It has been quite a while since you went through this process but any advice you have will help. I know you're probably a very busy man and understand if this isn't possible. Also thanks for inspiring to buy fountain pens! I love my Lamy Safari and Pilot Metropolitan!! Have you picked up any new fountain pens that you would like to share with us XD. Thank you once again for all your help!!!
P.S. Nice Facial Hair.
Ur specialty??
look up faze rain on RUclips you look just like him lol
Congrats
holy shit u look different.
+GreyFace he looks GOOD
+GreyFace Changes are good!
What specialty did you end up choosing and how did you know it was for you?
As a medical student, some of these tips in your videos seem a little "gamey" to me. Idk, its probably all right, it just feels little icky in my opinion.
Being an IMG, I'm using this year for electives and plan to apply for residency next year. Since I will not have a ERAS application this year, while in electives, how can I get my LoR author to upload the LoR next year when I begin my eras application?
Thanks so much for this video!!
yay. you posted a video!
1:37 sorry doc I couldn't find that video on 'how to pick a medical specialty'
+Marcus Lam I just uploaded it!!!!! Enjoy!
Any advice for Us citizen IMGs considering emergency medicine?
Hey DocOssareh👋
I'm a Community College student going into my Junior year over at UCLA next Fall, being that I am a Anthropology B.S. major I took a handful of my pre-reqs already for medical school. However, I scored B's on most all my science/math courses. When looking at the average GPAs for medical schools, I meet typical 3.6 GPA, but that is with my cumulative GPA (including GEs).
I apologize for the excessive background information, to simplify my question... does the gpa of my science courses overshadow my other courses? or do medical schools focus more so on the cumulative GPA, and look towards an applicants MCAT scores for the science knowledge.
welcome back!!!
Hey doc! I looked and couldn't find that video about choosing a specialty : /...btw, your videos have helped me tremendously, thank you!!
Dude can you make a video on how to study and survive during the clinical years? What books to study? How to score high on OSCE exam? how to make the best use of it, and everything else? :)
Cheers,
Awesome video!
Could you please tell me, when do the residencies start exactly? There is a fixed month or so? Can i start them from Feb?
You are very helpful and so inspiring. Thank you so much for your amazing helpful videos.
@9:12 You're such a nice actor brother .... I love all your videos ... and your acting also :)
Is TOEFL necessary for electives if u r an IMG?
GOD BLESS YOU Dr Ossareh .... you are a Savior.
wow it looks like you un-balded
Ur audio dubbing is totally out of sync
nice to see you back, i have a question ...Do imgs' who have completed graduation over 10 years ago get into a residency program? is it worth applying for the usmle as an old img, as in...would they stand a chance at all?
+Coral crue I would say it is never a bad time to apply. Life is long, spend your time doing what you love. And if that's medicine, then apply and get in. I've seen it done. Go for your dreams.
+DocOssareh Thank you so much for that. I've personally believed that there should not be any age restrictions as long as there is passion and drive. Keep up your amazing posts. They are such great guidance. :)
Where did you match? :D
more vids more vids
you're awesome!
i love this video!
What specialty are you pursuing ?
