Greece and the Greek islands are so gorgeous that it is so hard to decide where to go when you only have limited time. I will be visiting Greece this month for a little over 2 weeks. After doing a bunch of research and considerations, I am trying to squeeze Athens, Delphi, Meteora, Hydra, Syros (instead of Mykonos) and of course Santorini. I am so excited for this trip although I am still a bit anxious considering that we are still in the middle of the pandemic. I hope everything goes well as planned. This could be best travel i will ever have. Fingers crossed!

Such professional and beautifully shot videos without irritating narration and I love the ambient soundtracks. I'll definitely keep watching these. This video does give the impression that Skiathos is quiet, relaxing and devoid of the awful 18-30 club life seen on other islands so I'm surprised to read that it's actually described on Google as a party island. Guess like many islands there are the sophisticated genteel parts as well as the wilder bar and clubbing parts.

@@ellieellieellieellieellie I also think about Crete, but my wife does not want to Crete. Crete is not as green as the island on the Ionian Sea, like the islands of Zakynthos, Lefkada, Kefalonia, but Crete has good infrastructure not only in the summer ... Thank you for writing your opinion.

There's 5000 islands so you have a lot still to explore and if you think Skathios is beautiful you should see Santorini or Symi. Oh my goodness. These gems have the most stunning vintage architecture as in Venetian and Italian where Skathios as lovely as it is seems to lack iconic and jaw dropping buildings with age.
ABC is right. There are hundreds of lush and green islands as it all depends what area you visit. Crete for instance is huge and famous for wooded gorges while any islands up towards the mainland and Ionian islands (west coast of the mainland) are known for their lushness such as Corfu which is known as the greenest Greek island. The most arid and dusty are in the Cyclades. Saying you don't know of any other than Skathios really means you haven't explored enough yet.
@@robertpolasek thought so :) best period for Greece if you ask me. :) places are not crowded, food is better as they have more time, services better also. Looove it ! thanks ( will most probably go back to Cephalonia end of may and be there till end of June :D cant wait ) Thanks again !
@@robertpolasek Yep, indeed. I am an avid Greek lover and it's only 9 hrs from my place in Bucharest. I always try to spend at least 1 month per year. Cephalonia is wow. I also loved Spetses, Ammouliani and Parga. But I have been to so many places and I forgot a lot. Need go schedule some proper Greek RoundTrip soon :)
You're much closer to Greece than we are, that's great. I didn't even know of Spetses and Ammouliani that they existed. 🙂 I wish I could shoot in Greece throughout the summer, but the job will not let me.
Yes, they ask me often ... but I don't know! 🤣 We love all Greek islands because everyone is different. Does it matter what you want to do there? Beaches, mountains, monuments, shopping, relax. Don't ask me ... ask yourself what you like! 🙂
