Waitomo Caves is an amazing place! If you guys ever go, make sure you do the caving experience. The main attraction seems to be the main glow worm chamber, which is awesome. But it's a short tour and you're just sitting in a boat the whole time. With the caving experience, you're crawling around deep in the caves and they give you this donut flotation device. You'll find yourself just lounging back on that thing while floating down underground streams, staring up at the glow worms above like they're the Milky Way. It's more awe-inspiring than words can describe. Also, don't miss out on Queenstown in winter. If you like snowcapped mountains and misty fjords as much as I do, that town will blow your mind. I went skydiving over the Southern Alps there and it was one of the coolest experiences ever! I always encourage people to visit New Zealand at least once; it's a life-changing trip!
