Now that the Sheetrock is hung the tedious and time consuming process of taping and mudding the joints begins. They are applying 3 coats of joint compound which seems to take a long time because it has to be allowed to dry thoroughly between coats to prevent cracking and shrinking. After that the sanding happens and we'll be ready for texture, primer and paint!

I know you never wanted to be GC on this project, but was forced into it. I can see you are not thrilled with that role. I think you are doing a fantastic job as GC. You are avoiding being a hero by trying to do everything yourself. Hang in there man. it will eventually be mostly finished (it will never be finished). Way later than you hoped and planned for sure. You got this! Great job.

I was thinking about the price of lumber and was wondering how much you guys were able to pre-purchase before the price gouging began. Now it's doubled? Dang...... You may have to invest in a portable mill Jeremy and start cutting some of that downed timber up into usable planks. The way the prices are....could be worth it! Just a thought brother! Everything is looking great and looking forward to the next one!

These guys are using some cool gadgets I wish I had had when doing my walls. I love the way they work together, one after the other, in sequence, to get the job done, i.e., one tapes, one spreads, and covering drywall screws. They did excellent work.
