That doll is dressed in Victorian Era Mourning style. Queen Victoria was in Mourning for most of her rein and wore all black including her jewelry which would be Jet or Black Tourmaline
Thanks Rob! I really wish my Grandma was still around to ask her all these questions about this baby! She knew it all! She had a collection of so many dolls like this!! Appreciate the info!!
Hi, Kristin! So good to see you at my end of Nebraska! Next time you’re in Omaha, let me know! I’ll take the day off and shop with you! That would be so fun!
I live in Omaha and have only been once to the bins. They are intimidating to me for some reason, but I go to reg GW every week and find great things. I actually work at a hotel in Omaha so I should do what you do & travel on wkends and stay at hotel with my fabulous discount. Love the blanket and I know it's value. My Grandma worked at Pendleton's years ago and I have strips of wool she got back then and would make rugs out of with this special needle (I also have). One of these days I will make one myself... Glad I came across your video!!
So glad you found me too! We used to live in the 402 and I love bumming around Omaha!! Pendleton might be one of my very faves!! Thanks so much for watching!! 💖🐿
Of course you made time to hit the bins in the midst of doing a pop up - of course you did! You’re truly the queen of the bins, K! Oh those curlers…so many memories…and boy did they work! That Pendleton blanket is golden and can’t wait to see what the dolls bring. Thanks for sharing another great haul!
Thanks for the tip! Wish my grandma was still around to ask! She was a collector too. Had a whole room full of amazing dolls! She would have thought these were cool!
A Rural Squirrel Hi 🌹Great finds. I love the dolls. I found new in packaging foam rollers for my Sweet Momma. She was old school she still used those awful stick your scalp rollers. We slept in those torture devices😁Then someone gave us the foam rollers. BLESS THEM🥴 I have her packages in her drawer still. I rolled her hair for the last time July 2021. I never opened the 2nd pack.
Aw man! Your sweet mama! 🥰🙏 I had those original torture devices too!! Thanks goodness for the sponges!! (as long as mom didn't roll them too tight! LOL)
Glad you had good luck at the Omaha bins. I have went a couple times and didn’t find much. Had way better luck in Denver and Colorado Springs this summer. Just an FYI…. In my area of rural Nebraska every Sept they have Junk Jaunt. 100’s of garage, vintage and junk sales. I found so much stuff this year and 2023 is the 20th Anniversary
OMG! I've heard of Junk Jaunt!! I just did Junkstock when I was in Omaha but I've wanted to go to Junk Jaunt for a while!! Hope to get there this year!! You're right - the CO bins are great though!!
I go visit my daughter in Omaha every summer - Love Thrifting while I’m there. Also have a son in Colorado Springs. Goodwill Outlet bins are a Real Experience….lol Love that the Goodwill (especially CS) stores are SO organized. I call Goodwill the “Cadillacs”of thrift stores - a little pricey - but great selections. The Outlets charge by weight and sometimes that is not always an advantage.
Omaha is a great place to thrift for sure!! But, you're right, the thrifting is CO is primo! *Tip though - if you have an item heavier than 5 lbs, ask for special pricing! They will almost always give you a deal!

Great finds! I didn't realize you could find so much here at the binz. The 2 or 3 times I went...bust. Thanks also for saying hi on my auction last night. Keep up the great content!
If you're looking for wares, it's actually pretty good! (Clothes are kinda eh) Love it that you're on Whatnot! Keep it up! Hope you're doing well on there! See you soon!!

That second doll looks like a composition boudoir doll! They were used more for decoration. Ladies would have them in their bedrooms sitting on a settee or a chair. So jealous. And you found her at my bins too!
@A Rural Squirrel Give me a heads up before you list them, so I can be ready to snatch them up!! They will have a good home here with all of their sisters!
The first doll I believe is known as a flat head doll from the late 1800’s originally from Germany. I have one that appraised for approximately $1200. It’s worthwhile to investigate her value. She could be a really big score!
I wash my leather bags by hand with dawn detergent , let them air dry for a few days . After they dry then I use leather conditioner after and they come out beautifully. I always use gloves at the bins.
I probably should have given it a try! But it was just not something I was in the mood to mess with! LOL 😂 A lot of people prefer gloves - I can understand that. I don't like to wear them because I like to feel for the quality fabrics. Then I just wash my hands a lot! LOL Thanks for watching and commenting! Really appreciate it!

Smells?????? My last trip to the bins I had a very bad smell from a clothing bin. Took me a while to clear the smell from my nose. Thankfully I didn't put anything in my cart from that bin.
I hope you get to do this, like me, too!! I have been on Ebay for 25 years and full-time reselling for about 10. We love traveling and doing this full time helps us be able to do that. Thanks so much for watching and hanging out! Stop by again soon!

Thanks so much for watching!
Come to indy and drag me to the bins!
LOL! I've been to the Indy bins! They're fun! (Did a couple of videos there too) I'd like to get over to the Greenwood one again sometime! I liked that one the best of the 3!
Of course you've been here! Lol I'm scared of them but I'd go with you as you make it look fun.
*W@$$UP!!* Those are some nice dolls.
Hey Johnny!! Thanks for checking them out!! 😉
I'd LOVE to shop the bins with you! Let me know if you're ever passing through Columbus, Ohio. (Seriously!)
I haven't made it to the OH bins yet - but they're definitely on my list!!
Smells?????? My last trip to the bins I had a very bad smell from a clothing bin. Took me a while to clear the smell from my nose. Thankfully I didn't put anything in my cart from that bin.
Yeah...a little sensory overload that day! 😅
I wanna be like you. I love to travel and shop. do you travel for a full time job or is this your full time job?
I hope you get to do this, like me, too!! I have been on Ebay for 25 years and full-time reselling for about 10. We love traveling and doing this full time helps us be able to do that.
Thanks so much for watching and hanging out! Stop by again soon!
@@ARuralSquirrel I WILL GET TO ONE DAY! I have lots of you youtubers teaching me how to be great! If you ever come to Houston or even Austin Id love to shop with you.
Hi. Where is the location?
Omaha, Ne on 72nd
I feel Like there mail be a scary back story for those dolls , just saying 😀
I'll be honest - the last doll has a 'vibe'!!
@@ARuralSquirrel 😳😳😳
I'm a little late to the party, but the porcelain headed doll is dressed in mourning clothes. Also, the other doll kind of looks like the actress Claudette Colbert.
Oooooh!! Good tip! I'll do some research on those!! Thanks!!
New sub here! I live about 15 min from there! 😄👍
Wow! Lucky! That's awesome! Thanks for the sub!!
I actually used to live in Papillion!! We would go to this location all the time - back in the day!! And then go walk around the NFM and hit Eileen's Cookies on the way home! 🤪
That’s awesome! I live in Papillion now! 🤣 That sounds like the perfect day! 👍🍪
