    What's your opinion on using a ruled for construction lines but then freehand for the weighted lines

    • @productdesignermaker
      @productdesignermaker  4 года назад +1

      Owain Lloyd Davies there are obviously no rules against doing so. If you’re working on a page of ideas, I’d try and work without a ruler if you can. In most cases, this allows you to work quickly whereas the ruler can slow you down, causing the flow of ideas to be interrupted. If the drawing is a more of a presentation of a finalised idea, then I don’t think it matters too much. There’s definitely a place for the ruler.

      Hi, there's a link to the pens in the video description. Let me know if you can't find them.

    What kind of paper do you use? And does it suck up marker ink? I use chartpaks and don't want them getting sucked dry, so I've been doing sketches on big sheets of marker paper.

      Just seen this. The photocopier paper is really efficient with ink. I haven’t come across chartpak.

      @@productdesignermaker Cool! Some sources say copy paper will suck ink dry, so I was apprehensive.
