- Taking my son Milo splitboarding on a big backcountry powder run in Utah! There's a lot to learn to go snowboarding in the backcountry and splitboarding, so I teach Milo all about it and have a ton of fun too.

I noticed that too. When asked if he needed help, said "yes", them corrected himself to a "yes please". Try to teach my kids the same. Please tell me you had to remind him over and over and over before he finally did it on his own. Because I basically have to remind my kids EVERY time.
The thing I enjoy most about your channel is watching you and your boys interact. They are both such good boys and you are a good father. This is so wholesome and wonderful! Oh and the awesome adventures you all have are amazing too!
Thanks!! I am really lucky, we get to do a lot of fun stuff together and it's fun to share with the world. Hopefully it inspires people to do cool stuff and get outside!

MILO yer dang lucky. My dad was a politician. ERIC yer dang lucky. My dad's son was an unathletic nerd who would never get to experience life. Now (I) he gets to thru youtube. Keep em comin. The scenery is incredible, and watching Milo's progression makes me understand why it would've been cool to be a parent. The video of the drone rescue will be priceless.
We are very lucky, I definitely don't take it for granted! Drone recovery video coming next, should be a good one!
Whatever you do, don't ask Seth to help you. I've seen what he does with his drones!

I was a young kid when my dad passed away, so sometimes these kinds of videos can get me pretty emotional, but I'm super stoked seeing you give your sons a childhood full of fun adventures and quality time. Wonderful video, men! Those downhill skills are mind blowing.
Concerning herring-boning: you are right to emphasize leaning backward (this also applies to hiking and skiing uphill--of course, lean forward downhill), but the poles should be planted *downhill* of the skis while herring-boning--really prevents the back-slide and encourages leaning back.
Yeah you're right, didn't have time in this video to get too in depth with the explanations! Takes a while to get them figured out!
Watching you with the boys helping them grow and seek adventure is such an awesome thing.

This is great! Eric is teaching his kids everything he knows, so they will probably be like him when they grow up. They are almost like Eric's shadow, doing whatever he does (at least in his videos)

I wish I had a split board I love to ski and snowboard this looks like so much fun. It’s almost the end of the season here in Colorado but it’s still fun. Hope you stay safe and happy and I would be my dream to snowboard or mountain bike with you guys sometime I love this channel

Nice job on the switch backs Milo those can be tough. You can also learn the “kick turn” an old cross country technique to help on steep switchbacks and something I try and teach people whenever I’m in the backcountry
Yeah it takes a lot of reps to get them dialed, he's learning quick though!
@@PorterMTB ya it does and I’ve seen some pretty hilarious failed attempts however once you’ve got it down, it’s just another tool for the toolbox.
O man, its so nice to go to the backcountry with your own kids. It brings totally new aspect to it. Though my kids are at the age (15 and 17 yo), that daddy is not coolest guy to hang around anymore or to go to backcountry with 😂
