      Yes, and it's the most complete video. It talks on all forms transportation under 8 mins. I'm from the suburbs and my dad is always the one driving to Chicago. We've only used the CTA a couple of times. However, I want to visit downtown on my own, so this video is very helpful.

    Thank you for this informative video. You mentioned that if you register the Ventra card, the amount will be refunded in the form of travel credit. Do you know if this is instant? Or does it take a few days to process before the credit appears?

    I want to visit Chicago but I worry if I get on one of those trains I'll get off at the wrong stop and be in a bad neighborhood. How does a newbie now which routes are safe and not?

    I'm planning to go to Chicago in Sept for "All Out" which will have about 12,000 people at the United Center.
    How screwed will I be at night if I stay by Wicker Park and surrounding areas in terms of safety?

    I may be slow, but I need to understand, if I buy a 7 day pass, I don’t need to refill the card at any point during those 7 days correct? Can I get the 7 day pass in the app as well? 🙏🙏 thx, looking forward to visiting your amazing city later this month. Love from Denmark 🇩🇰

      Correct! Once you buy the pass, that’s all you need to do. You can purchase passes on the app, yes!

    I’ve tried to register my Ventra card but a US address and zip code were required. So, I decided to put my hotel address and my card is now in suspended status. Will I have to buy another one?

    • @freetoursbyfoot-chicago9698
      @freetoursbyfoot-chicago9698  Год назад +1

      Contact Ventra, there should be a customer support phone number or email on the card, or on their website. They’ll be happy to help!

      This question worries me the most (about to visit Chicago) because a lot of the online brochures and areas say only the 3 day more passes work on the buses. Unless that is the disposable ticket Ventra option only.

      That’s right! They run May through September. Bit cold to be on the water outside of those months, though our larger tour boats will run year-round. Always weather-permitting.

    I live in Chicago for a 35 years for a convenience get a car!!!! otherwise you’re gonna make miles on your foot and waste a lot of time and public transportation!!!

      Between a note, insurance, gas, and repairs, cars are definitely a luxury in a place like Chicago. Convenient but not required

      @@cutthemixmaster7981 agree if living in the loop. Otherwise, having a car is still worth it! Most of trains & buses in Chicago have uncomfortable smell (pee, poop, sweat from ppl, ect.)
