Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on the pronunciation of Mnemosyne! Maruman asked us to pronounce it the Greek way, which is why we have done so in this video.
I use an N180A for knitting designs. I use a blank page for sketching the garment, noting measurements; and the graph page for the stitch patterns. I also use dot grid notebooks (104 and 105) for testing and tracking fountain pens and inks, when I ink up several pens for example. And I have many of their memo pads for to-do lists, quick notes, etc. Love Mnemosyne paper!
Love these notebooks, carry them everywhere. As a diehard fountain pen user, these are perfect. Spiral design means they always lie flat. Lots of size options. Highly recommended.
I have the 181A and I’ve drawn so many comics with it! It’s a lot thinner than your usual comic paper but the smoothness is perfect for inking, it dries fast and you can tear pages out to shuffle them around or scan them. I can even keep a pencil in one end of the ring spine and a pen in the other, and have a portable drawing station!
I buy Mnemosyne 194 notebooks constantly--I use them for writing to-do lists and taking meeting notes at work, writing and journaling notes and thoughts to bring up in therapy, jotting down scent notes about new colognes and fragrances I'm trying--the lists go on! The paper is perfect for fountain pens, there is little-to-no bleed through, and I love the size and the spiral binding.
i've been meaning to get into stationery, I am so glad I found your channel again after watching videos when i was younger. Analog note-taking seems like it'd be much better, and this line of notebooks caught my attention ! I will definitely be getting some soon. Another small thing that excited me was Jen's doodles ! I love the persona series, seeing tiny drawings of characters I like from a completely unexpected video made me really happy ! :3
I use these notebooks for all my classes now. The micro-perforations are so nice, they have never torn the page on me. That's an absolute MUST HAVE feature for me. It will ruin my day if I go to tear out a page of handwritten notes, and the page rips in half.
Is Stephanie learning and practice Korean? I saw 수요일 목요일 written on her maruman note on the left top corner!! As a Korean, I am so glad to see her Korean writing! Thanks Steph😊😊😊😊
네, 맞아! I think she talked about how she's studying korean on her freetime in one of the videos where she showed off her bullet journals and pencase? And maybe the q&a video too? She's a big fan of shinee (like myself, hehe) so I noticed when she was talking about kpop and about studying korean. Pencase video: ruclips.net/video/xwNaK1jmGTY/видео.html Q&A: ruclips.net/video/4xOF5d60xTo/видео.html
I have them in various sizes, normal sized ones for task specific notes, ideas, etc and a tiny one that lives in my pen case as a todo list for random admin stuff around the office.
Now I have a new notebook to try. This was a great video. Loved the softer focus on the notebooks and even the pairing of writing tools that might match with them.
I am a server at a busy casual dining restaurant. The pocket sized Mnemosyne with a spiral binding is my favorite. I use it with a fine point pilot decimo fountain pen, Kaweco graphite holder, or a Sarasa dry pen! 🎉
Wait, I swear I learned a different pronunciation from a previous jetpens video. Is that possible? Am I going nuts? 😂 someone help me know why I thought it was “nuh-mah-sin-aye”
I use 3 - N180A for design, projects, planning, big stuff; N182A for smaller similar activities - I love the landscape format (being a lefty 🙂) and the light-colored grid lines. For everyday writing, notes, project ideas and outlines, etc., I use the N104. I love the dot grid and B5 feels like the perfect size for these things. 🙂
I have two in constant use. I first discovered them at Jetpens and have ordered them from you ever since. (1) N197A Today's Act Notebook - A6 - Special Rule + Perforations is always with me for To Do lists and quick notes. (2) N196A Special Memo Notepad - B6 - 7 mm Rule is my favorite portable notepad for work. I love the videos about Jetpens’ team members’ favorites!
I love these notebooks!!! I got a 104 dot grid one at my bookstore originally because it was cheap and I needed a travel sized ringed sketchbook for storyboarding, but I ended up loving it so much it became my go-to sketchbook for everything!! My main complaint is sometimes the hooks on the back of the rings bend weird and cause the back cover of it to come off, but other than that theyre great. Glad to know you guys carry them incase my bookstore stops selling them lol
I've used a couple of sizes... there's one with little to-do boxes down the side. Great for groceries and other errands as well as the weekend chores to get done. The one that's a size up and dot grid I've used for my dungeons and dragons characters. I'm migrating to electronic for that but I've really loved the free form aspect when creating character sheets. The paper is so smooth! As a lefty, I've found the Pilot Accroball ink pen works best for me. Fine tip, no smearing, and no dragging feel. Using the Mildliner Highlighters with it is great!
I bought one Mnemosyne B5 ruled a while ago while I was on a journey to find a good fountain pen friendly paper that was not as expensive as TR - and it totally turned me onto Maruman paper. Although I switched to the Easy-to-write paper combined with a Kokuyo B5 binder, but I was happy to find both in your store! Plus a few Clarte binders to organize all the pages I've filled.
I wish they'd make a sewn-binding or at least non-perforated version. I've been an AMPAD 22-156 user for decades but it's getting hard to find the good ones.
I use these notebooks almost exclusively now, having bought my first one five years ago. I use them with either my Lamy Safari medium point fountain pens, or my Pentel Tradio. I love this combination!
Joseph, I need your advice, Maraman or Clairfontaine Triomph since you just mentioned Fountain pens. My world in Fountain Pens is just beginning. Thank You.
@@JoltNet Thank Sir, I guess I can start and stop here on my paper search. It is very drowning, if you don't know what paper fits a certain person's need.
@@tbayless8324 It took me a few tries to find a paper and book style that made me happy. Start with smaller format books from different makers to try them out. They’re less expensive and you can fill one up quickly if you find one you like. Then you can get larger formats. I also like the Moleskine notebooks, but I mostly use a pencil or Tradio pen with those.

You all make the most relaxing and informative videos. Thank you. 🎉 I use a B5 lined Mnemosyne notebook for keeping notes while teaching singing, and performance at a music college. The header is great, the lines are just dark enough but not intrusive for side notes beside each student’s name during a performance. B5 fits nicely in my school bag. Being a fountain pen user, I love that the paper holds up well and shows ink beautifully. I use a TWSBI Eco or a Kaküno w a con 70 converter form max ink capacity.
I use M109s dot grid at work. Very nice. Although Noodler's Luxury Blue doesn't dry particularly fast. So I'm closest to Stephanie--although I use a vanishing point with an F nib.
Lol, I feel like asking if I need a Mnemosyne notebook is a trick question. In addition to the black twin rings, I love their simple, professional look, not to mention, they pair so well with my Zebra Sarasa Clip and Uniball Signo Dx gel pens...ah, but then they probably pair well with most.
I love love love these notebooks! I used them as a student for chemistry notes and continue to buy them now for my own drawing and designing Also, I have to say I love your website! It’s so easy to browse and navigate :)

Great video guys! I have a question tho: what ink is used for the fountain pen example in the characteristics part of the video? The blue color and the rusted optics are really unique!
I love Mnemosyne notepads, but I have been curious as to what the thick yellow card inside the cover used for. Is it for blotting fountain pen ink or for placing between sheets so there is no denting the sheet below?
maruman is the only hyped product that just. doesnt click with me. ok maybe the drawing demo actually inspired something in me...oh also the left handed that isn't bothered by the rings...the mini size...the quick drying ink🧐🧐🧐🧐 idk why putting a face behind the use makes everything more sense 👌😂
