as soon as they showed Michelle I started to cry, I grew up watching her, Mia, Brandi, Joy, Kristine, etc. the 12 years I played competitive soccer, they were the inspiration behind it.
uhh the music they played throughout this along with the passion these ladies had just gets to you... i cried through the whole thing. amazing. incredible. what an inspiration, what a legacy.
I am here ..after 2019 world cup, France, final, US 2 - 0 Niederlande... still emotion to me, i cry a little bit.. so proud of them.. USWNT represents not just US but the rest of the world where they inspired not just women but also to those individual who never give up and dare to dream and shine.
I always find these kinds of retrospectives deeply emotional, and the story of the US Women's team, with all they had to put up with and overcome, especially so. I've cried more than once seeing these. The 99ers ESPN special is another tearjerker.
As an American, I am really not a "rah rah USA! USA!" type; but I am incredibly impressed that our country could put together a team that was the best in the world despite soccer being not a very big sport here... And it being a HUGE sport everywhere else. That's some cool shit.
Thank You ladies for starting a wild ride for Womens Soccer and all the Trophies! "Losing is just going to make teams better." Hats off to Ms Akers...her courage, strength, and will power was amazing!
Thank you so much for uploading this movie..I've always wanted to watch it and as I live in Argentina I couldn't and I also couldn't find it on the internet..so THANK YOU SO MUCH! AND GO THE #USWNT
These ladies definitely made quite an impression on me growing up. I love the sport and i still remember seeing the final for the 99 worldcup. Glad i got to see part of their genesis story.
After England’s win today and listening to Julie Foudy’s, always excellent commentary in that match, I thought I’d check out this documentary for the nth time. To make things better, I just found out Judy is married to a Brit!!
I cried watching this on HBO! Then I when it repeated 3hrs later on HBOw, I literally "ran home to mommy" and made her watch it...and I cried again. I can feel a tear trying to form now. Way to go girls (sniff-sniff). Damn, I can't wait to play tonight because I need to go in hard shoulder-to-shoulder, push opposition players around, and scare the $#!7 out of their goalkeeper so that maybe I can regain my manhood!! But first I'll rewatch Dare to Dream
I still loved 🥰 the way they played soccer ⚽️ years ago and I loved 🥰 player no.10 she played very good 😊 years ago and I loved 🥰 her soccer clothes she used to wear years ago and loved 🥰 her body figure and I also liked player 14 as a friend and that’s amazing 🤩 times I have with my life seeing women playing soccer ⚽️.👍(I seen her white shorts(briefs)showing on her soccer clothes since she been playing soccer ⚽️ years ago and I like seeing this stuff and I never get tired of this stuff and that’s the way I like it.)👍
there was a sister film to this called "Dare to Compete: The Struggle of Women in Sports." Does anyone know where I can find that documentary? PS Thank you, I'm so glad I found this!
Women will be payed more in football when they bring in more revenue and the quality becomes better they are being payed more than the men per percentage of the revenue being brought in so women shouldn't complain especially the Women's U.S.A team being payed more money than the men's U.S.A team getting the money divided up in half from what the men's U.S.A team bring in and still keeping benefits which is ridiculous womens football will grow though football is the fastest growing sport in the world and the first women's World cup was only in 1991 so it's looking really great hopefully the other women's international teams can get the same funding or similar as the women's U.S.A team had and has and hopefully other women's football teams internationally are supported and encouraged to play football financially and politically and the women's World cup becomes alot more competitive and a higher quality.
Money money money. If you invest to people you can make your own decisions regarding success. Add nothing nothing is expected. For these women to succeed they needed backing. That is all.
And still is today. Men. They were beaten by Mexico on the same day the women won over the Netherlands to win the world soccer team championship. Since when the women lost a game with Mexico?
@@TheMrPeteChannel yeah they are. Have you ever been outside of the country? I went to Mexico before I was 21 and they let me drink. Saw my ID and everything
