Can't believe it. I used to watch him perform at his peak. His presence when he walked on to the mate was incredible. Only at the very elite vents like World championships and the Olympics did he even break a sweat, and I'm serious. How he lost to Frank Wieneke in the 84 Olympics I honestly believe was down to over confidence,. Yes he was a young man once, and believe me an extremely frightening one.
I watched a match in CA, circa 2009 in 100Kg, a BJJ player fighting in Judo BB div. did one of these. He almost got the lock, but his opponent was a strong Judoka and extracted the arm. When ref. restarted them, the juji escapee gripped and threw a Left Yama Arashi with more power than I'd ever seen in a local match. Dislocated the BJJ man's shoulder on the way over. Never seen a 100Kg player flopping around on the mat like a fish out of water before that. The medic reset his shoulder and he wanted to continue!, but it wasn't allowed. For me the lesson was, Don't use the flying JG one against a heavy weight unless you know you can win with it. For your opponent may not take kindly to it...
@ynotnilknarf39 I'm a judoka and I practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu and I'm always concerned about safety in these sports because that's what they are. However, many of my Brazilian jiu-jitsu family don't think thr same way and that's sad, they think many of the moves techniques that were ban should be allowed and I totally disagree 😉 and not worth it because the cost could be too high at the end of the day. Some of these misfits think bjj and judo is MMA and it's not.
@@markdaniels4178 so what is the actual risk, compared to say falling down stairs and breaking your neck, or being in a car crash and dying? Do you understand what I'm getting at regards risk and how we percieve it against what the actual factual risk is?
Mr. Adams was once young, I can't believe it !
We all were once , dope!

Rhadi Ferguson has an amazing flying juji gatame in competition.
In Sambo it's called " висячка". Love it! But you need to know when and in what situation do it.
A technique now banned in judo.
Chris bowles my instructor as a boy
That's a very dangerous move, people have become paralyzed from performing by way of breaking their necks
how many broken necks out of how many thousands if not millions of attempts ever, just for some factual information?
