Trap's lategame is so strong, Serral had to grab the Emperor Palpatine hoody to give him the _Unlimited Power_ he needed for that comeback win.

Serral's super power is trading efficiently vs Protoss as a freaking Zerg.
It's one of them. His other superpower is to have his drones not die - which is aided by his reflexive GTFOing the drones as runbys get distracted by the less important buildings.
@@ianwhitchurch864 and another is always getting the early scouting zergling to see more than it should.
Being cost effective against protoss in lategame isn't really that hard. Vipers are the most cost efficient unit in the game if you can use them correctly. The only real efficiency protoss has late game is they're great at taking out buildings at low to no cost. Between voids coming in to snipe hatches and tempests long-range bombardment. It's generally why it's a bad idea to overcommit to too many spores. But so long as you've got enough corruptors where the protoss can't just charge you, you can gradually pick them apart with vipers the entire game.
Well when Protoss just tosses their expensive air units away and then remaxes in Stalkers.... it's pretty easy to be efficient.
Is it just me, or is PiG & Maynarde a most awesome cast team?
Probably just you. Tastosis is clearly the best. And there are others that are as good as Pig Maynard. They are good, for sure, but not the best.

@@christopherneedham9584 Tastosis cant even barely tell correct build and timing in SC2 nowadays. They have been retired from SC2 scence pretty much for 2 years other than GSL casting. Unless you are motivated and excited to hear about horsemeat or slapping the chicken, Tastosis are not the best duo caster, sorry.
And while there are some other good casters, the chemistry isnt there like PiG and Maynarded. PiG is super technical and knows about every possible build and timing during the cast, while Maynarde is a walking history book of SC2, and they are an ideal match for each other. Most EU caster are not super technical about casting, and they are also super bias about certain race/player. NA caster are not very good neither other than ZG but I dont see anyone match her style for the cast.
Maynard has such a good energy, it's like a therapy session listening to him casting

Damn what a series. Felt like Serral could've easily lost like 5 or 6 of those 7 games. Think Serral had better control of his spell casters overall so I guess he deserved the win wow. What a treat to watch this level of Starcraft. Thanks for everyone's passion for the game to put this on!!

42:30 That was such a bold play after such a cautious game [minus the recall mistake?...] wow. Really interesting to see Serral not prepared for the full frontal push. Seemed like he didn't have much redundancy of larva/hatches or static defense to fall back to. Late game rocks. :D
We keep hearing about Serral's amazing late game, but whenever he's got an advantage, he goes home. Whenever the opponent has half the army supply, he just goes home. He keeps throwing away every single opportunity, advantage and chance he gets. He makes everything SO DIFFICULT. "Ok, I'm maxed... what's the opponent's supply? 100? Oh, ok. Well, I'll just run in circles until he's maxed too."

Biggest and 100% reason why trap lost was because of not denying creep spread. He allowed serral to know and have absolute vision of everything he was doing. Surprise element of attack is your best friend

Playing against skytoss is so damn tedious and boring. Really dislike playing this matchup at the moment, and it seems like blizzard has just given up on balance patches. Watching this series though was a blast. Crazy comebacks.

The zerg is so frightened to attack the protoss, even after destroying his air army three times and leaving toss with only zealots, he's still to afraid to move in for a killing blow. That's how this late game looks like, one wrong move and the zero loses.

Yeah. Late game is terrible. Lurkers are basically crazy OP on the ground, which forces every protoss to go skytoss, which results in extremely slow attrition games.
