Aside of the great song i also like his attitude. Standing in front of the audience, playing complicated two hand tappings, singing, correct the position of his in ear monitor while wearing no shoes and feeling comfortable. Kind of a special vibe for me ...
Crazy to think i heard this 11 years ago and fell in love with it enough to have thought about it in passing today. Miss the person I was when I first heard this. Happy to have the memory. Thanks Jon.
Around 6 years ago I went out with some close friends and some friends-of-friends. We spent the whole night at the bar, then food after. then everyone except for me and one of the group I didn't know as well left. I thought it would be awkward but we talked about life and music for hours. At 5 in the morning he played me Passionflower. To this day it is THE song I think of when I think "gentle and completely beautiful music." Restorative every single time I listen. Thank you for this song Jon, vote entered, you absolutely deserve the award.
Still one of my favorites of all time. Not many songs bring me the kind of peace this one does. Thanks for your contribution to the universe, Jon Gomm. =)
Man, I hope you get it. I scrolled through the whole list of nominees and they are nowhere near this Masterpiece. You have constantly awed me throughout the years and kept me company all the way since my Bachelor's to my PhD during my long study sessions. Thank you for all your hard work
este tema la primera vez que lo escuche estaba pasando un mal momento y fue super liberador, es el dia de hoy que lo escucho y se me cierra la garganta de emocion! sos un GRANDE JONGOMM! lograste lo que todo artista desea!
What a fkn way to finish off an amazing performance 💯🔥This brang back the memory of the first time I showed this to my old man, at 15 years old and it blew his mind away 💯❤️ 25 this year and I couldnt ask for a better memory 🙏💯 Miss you Dad ❤
how you manage to make this even more beautiful every time while still maintaining what we all love and know from this song back way back when is just amazing to me
Just saw the video today but definitely would've voted... everything about this song is so well put together, the intricate guitar playing/tuning, lyrics, vocal performance, all contributing to tell this story of a flower in a garden full of awe and wonder? That's composition if I ever heard it
Yeeeeeaaaahhhhh!! Can't wait to explore scratching up my JGM 5 like this; just got my Keith Banjo tuners! You inspire soloist introverted musicians like myself Jon!
I saw you play in Cambridge on March 23, 2015. I just happened to be studying music there as a foreign exchange student from New Jersey. I found out about the concert a few days before and skipped class to be there. I was struggling to get adjusted in a new country, but getting out of my dorm and attending that concert energized me. Not only that, this song changed the way I approached music performance and songwriting. Thank you for sharing your music, and taking the time to chat with us after the show. 🐬
Only had the chance to see him live once, about 12 or so years ago in the upstairs room of a small pub in York (the Black Swan I think) I was blown away with his performance.
I hope it won. If I'd known I'd have voted for it. Just checked the list, that's some pretty great company! You must be extremely proud to be among such luminaries!
This song will never cease to amaze me. Every performance of this is an amazing feat and a great musical accomplishment. Jon Gomm you are amazing dude!
I always rewatch your performance from 11 years ago, but this came up in my algorithm. So to come across you nominated and then take 6th, right behind a handful of incredibly well known bands/artists that have all the commercial success you can imagine on their side is absolutely mind blowing. You did something so, so special with this one Jon. Cheers to you, and everything you love.
I was listening to this song about two months ago because I remembered that it's very good, greetings from Mexico🇲🇽...it's good to know that you're still playing it
I've loved this song for a long time. All these years later, it's still one of the most unique and inspiring pieces I've heard 🥰 Your music would go over super well in Asheville! Have you thought about booking The Orange Peel?
I voted! Have always been a fan since the first time I saw the live video of this song years ago. Just recently bought the banjo tuners to attempt this song. I had also won the signed CD and custom g7 capo from your covid pandemic contest. Thank you for being one of my biggest guitar/musician influences Jon!
Jon, Ive been listening to this song for the twelve years its been on your youtube. i dont remember how i found it, but i was only a young teenager at the time and it has become a constant source of rejuvenation for me through some of the hardest times in my formative years. I'm a 27 year old now finally figuring out who I think i might want to be in this life, and your art inspired me to follow my own craft of passion. I now can tell myself i am not what i was. I have a painting for you, if you have a P-O box
Great mastery over your instrument. It's great to hear your voice can still do it, with some adjustments. My all-time favourite performance has to be the one from the 25th of September 2011. That one is still my favourite. You kept in time and were entirely coexisting with your song like one singular entity. That felt incredibly true and heartwarming, and to this day it still does. I wish to see you perform live, so please come over to the Netherlands some time.
Had the absolute pleasure of seeing Jon on his recent amp promo tour for Blackstar. He was six feet away from me and the other guitarist in my band who have a combined experience of 70 years playing guitar. We still have no f*cking idea how he did what he did. What we do know is that we were both pretty much rendered speechless throughout his amazing performance. What a player and a lovely chap to boot.
Jon, your music has gotten me through some of my darkest days. You continue to be a bright light in a dark world. You inspire me to continue forward, and keep playing/writing music. I will forever be grateful for the day that I found your music all those years ago, and will always hold your music and your message near and dear to my heart. Thank you for being you sir, keep on being one of the greatest
For me this has become a timeless classic - it doesn't get old no matter how many times I hear it. Jon is my most admired kind of man: Immense talent matched only by his humility.

You got my vote! Before hearing Passionflower my fave acoustic track of all time was Extreme - More Than Words.
I was also waiting years to hear it live again! Thank you!
Some stiff competition there, also a few questionable entries. Passionflower is such a wonderfully inspiring song, uplifting every time I hear it
Voted!
It’s a toss up between this and Nick’s Watching the Stars.
Still as amazing as 11 years ago. Love it!
you said it all... i always listened to it when i was 20, today i'm 31 and i didn't listen to it for years, this one live gave me a wonderful feeling
Aside of the great song i also like his attitude. Standing in front of the audience, playing complicated two hand tappings, singing, correct the position of his in ear monitor while wearing no shoes and feeling comfortable. Kind of a special vibe for me ...
This is what peak human physical, emotional, and spiritual performance looks like.
Yeah. Kind of a special person.
that song will never get old
Agreed
True, I've been listening to it for close to a decade off and on, and it's just as beautiful as the first listen. ❤❤
Outstanding. Still blows me away that you can play like that and sing at the same time.
Crazy to think i heard this 11 years ago and fell in love with it enough to have thought about it in passing today. Miss the person I was when I first heard this. Happy to have the memory. Thanks Jon.

Truly one of the greatest acoustic guitar songs ever written
One of the few best songs in the world.
Just read your description on this. I am a guitarist because of this song you wrote. It made everything click for me. Thanks Jon.
It always makes me tear up a little bit. There are no other songs that do that.
Still one of my favorites of all time. Not many songs bring me the kind of peace this one does. Thanks for your contribution to the universe, Jon Gomm. =)
Still the best acoustic song ever imo. Loved it upon first release, still love it now. Much Love Jon.
Absolutely breathtaking performance!
Much nicer audio recording than the original from years ago.
The man is massively talented. I would love to be his sound guy.
That's a level of talent, skill, and dedication that I could just never comprehend. Incredible.
I've seen this so many times and yet it's just and fresh and powerful with every performance
You got my vote. This song has got me through a lot of pain and turmoil.
