    Thanks for this! Ive done a few jars this morning. How long do the cucumbers have to sit in the brine for, in the fridge, before it is pickled and ready to eat?

    Nooooo Ivan 😭😭😭😭 That's American. Pickling with malt vinegar in a pan with sugar, salt, whole peppercorns, dill or thyme, sliced chilli until sugar is dissolved and add to sliced cucumbers. NO WATER. They'll last years, not weeks. I do my pickling (shallots, cucumber, piccalilli) every summer and they're all gone by the end of Winter ready to start again. 😊
