I like the collage idea. Bulk is always a problem. As you were pressing the folds and folding it out, I thought this would make a good flip-flop journal, using the front and the back. Looking forward to seeing the next part.
Oh my goodness, you’ve sent me down a rabbit hole 😂 Now I want to try that!!
This looks really neat so far. Maybe use paint and tissue paper for the other side to minimize the bulk?
That’s a good idea!! Would be cool to have that contrast!
I enjoyed following along while hearing your thought processes. i'm looking forward to how you will decorate this sample book. I know it will be lovely because everything you do is so lovely.
Thank you so much!
I’m really enjoying this series for beginners, it so helpful for as a newbie to collage. I’m looking forward to viewing all your videos…😊Thank you
This was fun to watch and listen to. My strange thing is I love hearing the sound of the glue stick thunking on the table while gluing those large pieces! 🤗
Glad you enjoyed it!
🧚🏻♀️Loved this video, thank you Meg! You come up with the best journal ideas! I’m visiting my Hardware store to get some paint charts and get started! Exciting idea!😘😊
I learned a lot from listening to your thoughts as you work.
Thanks for stopping by!
I REALLY enjoyed this video. The collage, the papers, the chat. Love it all!💙
Yup ! Me too
You are such an inspiring artist…thanks so much for sharing your process thoughts!
Thank you so much!☺️
You are so CLEVER!!!!! I love your style!!!!
Aw thank you 🥰
I made my Jjj in this manner, using Amazon brown paper as my base. I then did a collage, like you over a good part of each side in collage papers, before I tackled each side per day.
If I were using the paint sampler, I would def cover the writing side in collage, but would use some colours on each page as theme.
Using napkins to decoupage is a good way to cover but keep it thin. If you want to cover something up, then only remove bottom layer, keep middle one. Or use tissue paper 😊
That’s a good idea!
Love watching your videos at any time of the day! Please bring on the ASMR sounds!! I could sleep peacefully to your aesthetic and beautiful pages & creations :)
Can't wait to see the finished project.❤❤❤
Me too!!
I love my corner rounder - but mine doesn't work as well as yours does.
Your booklet is looking great. 😊👍🏼
Thank you! It’s a trooper lol
Thanks for another great video! I think you’re having a bit of trouble with the folds because it’s hard to get a good fold when it’s wet. I think it looks great though, I like things wonky and imperfect in my journals 😊
@@megjournals You're welcome. 😊Yeah. 😃👍
Why does a whole bunch of scrap paper bits put together on a page look so nice😮
Aw thank you!
Love the crinkle sound of the papers ❤
Brilliant. This is my favourite method for backgrounds. I’m really looking forward to your next layers.
Love your work Meg . Stay creative xx
Thanks so much 😊
I loved how this turned out and I loved the process. Looking forward to seeing more.
Nice to hear you thinking it through, and seeing the process.
Thanks! 🥰
Ope lol 33:20 I just came to the comments to suggest you peel it up!! I do that all the time! It rarely comes out perfect or good all in one piece, but I like that effect and takes most of the bulk out!
Haha yes it worked out! Cool effect ☺️
This is so cute, what a wonderful piece ☺☺☺
Thank you! 😊
I love watching your process it’s coming along nicely
Thanks for watching!
Gasp! That altered book 😍
I have a playlist on my channel if you’re interested in process videos! 🤗
I’m on my way right after this video to go paint samples gathering. 😊
I have a few paint sample cards, but they are the ones where the samples are little tabs stuck half on the page so I am thinking of putting the back grounds underneath and decorating the the little paint sample tabs to contrast with the background to make it really 3D.
I usually have coffee while I work and have started putting it in a thermal mug so I don't forget about it
Thermal mug is a good idea, I’ve had to reheat so many teas when I get absorbed in what I’m doing 😂
@megjournals I am the same. Whether its work or art stuff I always end up with cold coffee or tea
I love this project! Haven't found a brochure like this, yet. But, I am looking. TFS. 🥰🙏
Thank you! It’s definitely fun to work with!
That was fun to watch and hear your thinking outloud! I could hear the excitement in your voice about what you were doing. Great motivation.
I am finally doing my prompts for JJ January because I was so sick then. Having lots of fun with it!! ❤ Annie
Hope you’re feeling better! ❤️
I am, thank you!
It came out so great. I love it.
Thank you! 😊
Your right Meg about it being therapeutic..to glue down something 😂. Good to know that just beyond the camera is chaos!
It really is!😅
Funnnn!!❤
So far so good ❤
I love watching u collage! I can never enjoy it bc it never looks nice like urs😂 maybe I need a better glue stick! Haha tfs❤❤❤
Thank you! 🤗
Love this idea !
Thanks so much 🤗
The paint color “dead salmon”. 😂😂😂
Lol I didn’t notice that 😂😂

Meg: it looks like you have a plan or the Muse has taken over. I’m interested in where this is going. Carol from California
Thank you!🥰
Nooooo! That’s a WASTE of SPOTS! 😮Brown paper we have PLENTY of, but, SPOTS, not so much!😂
