Ciao! Here are my thoughts on all the line mounts out there bit.ly/3NuvL3j . I would probably wait for the Mentese to be available again here menteselabs.com/
Hello,, my name is Carlos from Argentina and I congratulate you for such good videos on the lines,,,, will there be any chance of knowing where to get the line mount for gopro max? I think it is the best on the market. I built one with plastic from a drum, but I haven't tried it yet and I would like to have yours anyway,,,,, thank you very much in advance,,, regards
Thanks for the words of encouragement! I got the mount through Mile High Mounts in Australia, or you could probably find it for printing for a 3D printer. www.milehighmounts.com/product-category/kite-line-mount/
Prego! No parlo italiano, solo francese e spagnolo. I think the Max would be a good compliment to the Hero 7, but not an upgrade or replacement. The max allows you to get more specialized shots, but it won’t do 4K 60 , and it isn’t as good as the Hero for regular Gopro shots. What are you hoping to do with it? Maybe I can tell you if it will work well for that
@@erbartlett I'd like Gopro Max for 360 videos and for the possibilities to have different prospectives about the same frame. I keep the Hero7 also. Do you think is it best to wait about release of Gopro MAX 2?
great video, thanks Evan. I really dislike the look of the footage that I see people post using the MAX. I've been deliberating hard for over a year, giving viewers more options is the biggest appeal. but the added workflow time and the look of the footage ultimately have kept me away from it. I dig yr thoughts, again, thanks!
Yeah, you have to be intentional with it if you want the footage to look natural, and the resolution is currently a big limitation. I think if used selectively for a more immersive POV it can be cool, but I think that requires some skill with the camera and frankly with shooting and video editing. GoPro 10 is just a more accessible tool, that many people can easily get good results with.
I agree with this except for the conclusion, hah. For me, if I could only have a regular GoPro or the MAX, I'd get the MAX, because you can use it like a regular camera and also get the 360 shots, but with the regular camera, you lose the option for the 360 shots.
yeah, totally fair point. as a single camera, the max provides the most flexibility for sure, especially if you dont mind the lower resolution. i probably could have spelled that option out a bit more clearly
The Max distortion is just not good for me. All the GoPros have pretty good wide angle capability already, but look a ton better. I'm sure there are situations where the max is good. I've seen some cool snowkiting video taken with it, but the max is just another thing to add to a bag and used not so much.
I think that’s right. It’s good for a few situations, which makes it harder to justify bringing with you ever single time. Most people will get more out of a Gopro 9 or 10 and should start with one of those
@@Alexomator I sold my Insta and got the GoPro Max. It’s a much better “action” camera. The software in Insta is mostly gimmick stuff that’s fun once but never used by me. The actual video output is pretty similar on both if you ask me. 🤷♂️
Excellent review! Conclusion forward, concise and honest, much appreciated!
appreciate the feedback! let me know if you've got ideas for future videos.
Ciao Evan, vorrei acquistare Line mount per Gopro Max. Quale mi consigli? Da quale sito internet?

hi, good video, do you use any waterproof case for the sea ?
Thanks! I don’t use cases on my Gopro 10 or Gopro Max. They are waterproof with no case
Awesome work

Here’s the 3D printed version. www.shapeways.com/product/AJ2WQAZA5/kite-line-mount-for-gopro-max-v1-0
Great vid…very informative.
Thanks!
Grazie Evan, video molto utile. Sto pensando di comprarla per fare un upgrade dalla Hero7

You should use the correct camera for the selfie stick and ditch that Max.
Use the inta360? I never considered it because it wasn’t waterproof!
The One X2 is. In software handling it´s way more intuitive than what GoPro delivered.
@@Alexomator oh nice, didn't know they had a waterproof one, not sure how I missed that. What is more intuitive about it?
