Thank you for this video. This is to let you and anyone else watching this video know that it works with Olympus cameras and the new Godox X1T-O trigger, as well.
I have an Olympus OM-D E-M1 and a Flashpoint RL600B. In order to get this to work in HSS, I always had to mount an Olympus FL-36, put the camera into HSS Manual mode, take a shot, remove the FL-36, replace it with the Flashpoint trigger and then shoot. If I turned the camera off for any reason, I would have to go through that whole process again. I recently bought a couple of Godox flashes and the X1T-O trigger and, after watching this video, I tried your technique and it worked like a charm. Thank you.
Many thanks for connecting in, cheers!
thanks for the video
Awesome video! I been looking for a way to do this for a while.
I don’t know what I was doing wrong but after watching your video I have hss available now after 1 hr of messing with it. All I had to do was find your video. Thank you
Just replying to another chap with the same problem, don't forget HSS will only engage above 1/16 power. Cheers
You are most welcome. Happy you got it working!
Have you found a decent source for RL-600 replacement batteries? I've found them as low as $109 in the past, but it looks like all I can find on the web are for $160 on Ebay and $150 at Adorama.
Do I have to set flash wireless on the A6000 to use high speed sync ? I'm currently using the Godox system and the only way for me to use the manual flash is selecting fill flash.
The a6000 should detect the godox trigger and automatically do HSS.
So I had the Godox x1 t working perfectly with my rl600b, but now it's not doing has. There is a small black bar at bottom of every shot. All my settings are correct on the 600b, but I think I messed up something with the x1t. What are the settings needed so it will fire hss? Thank you!
Ah yes, the small black bar. That means you're shooting above you camera's sync speed. You should be aware the rl600b will not do hss below 1/16th power. 1/16th and above only. That's likely what's going on I'm guessing. rl600 setup instructions are in my other vid on the rl600. Cheers
What if you had the x1r but no remote to the rl600? I have a godox xpro trigger and it connects with the x1r but it's not allowing HSS
So just did a quick test for you and if I run a sync cable from my x1r to rl600b using x2t on sony a74 I get hss from rl600b. This also works with my xproS as well. Are you sure you have hss turned on, on the rl600b?
Last question how can I make the hss button show on the rove light like yours ? Like I click menu on the rove light and click where so it can show hss
Click on the SET and Multi buttons top left simultaneously and the HSS indicator/function is turned on.
@@PTPhotoGearReviews got it bro thank u so much it works now for me !! High speed sync u should tell everyone also to turn off the curtains in the settings so it can work bro my god lifeeee saver
Hello, would this Godox X1TS work hss on a Canon 6d? Thank you
No, you need the X1TC
No idea, not a canon shooter. Sorry
Great video. Any chance anyone has come up with a way of using a Godox xpro trigger with the rl600 b? I got the light used and I’ve already got my xpro trigger, willing to buy another trigger to make this all work, but I’m tight budgeted.
Hi Paul, i cant get my sony A7RII and the Godox trigger and the Rovelight 600b to work, no signalis going through to light up ?
Does your 600b work ok with just the non-hss trigger it came with? Make sure that works/battery is good first?
yes, it works perfect, with the original remote, but when i want to the godax trigger it dont trigger, not sure if im missing a setting some where.
yes, the 600-B works great with out the Godox trigger.
I can only suspect you've missed a step in the setup somehow. Go back through the instructions again slowly and see if you can't discover what you missed. Usually when I have problems like this more often than not it's my fault as I've skipped a step.
You are a godsend for the Rovelight community. You've helped me a lot in the past. But in my research I heard you can use the Jinbei TR-A6 trigger to control the 600B, it has a menu to communicate with older Jinbei's like the Rovelight. That's based on my web research but haven't been able to find it on the US Amazon. Can you investigate this and confirm please?
WOW, I just found your video on the TR-A6!!! You are the MAN!!! Now, I just gotta order it. I have 3 Rovelights I'm glad I have a better trigger.
Hi Jeff, try this: www.thephotogadget.com/products?search_api_views_fulltext=tr-a6+for+nikon I've bought a ton of stuff from thephotogadget.com with no issues. Hope this helps. Cheers
I'll see if I can find the email reply I originally got from Jinbei way back when, it had some good info in it.
will this method works on jinbei hd600?
It should because the Flashpoint RL600B is the same as the hd600 as far as I know. Adorama could probably confirm.
Can you use two rl600b's on one remote?
Hi Jose, I haven't tried it as I don't have 2 RL-600b"s but as long as the dip switches are set the same it should work perfectly. Regards, Paul
Hi Paul i cannot get the HSS symbol on my RL600B . How do we turn the HSS on the monoblock. Can you please help. Thnaks
Hey Harry, still having trouble?
Two things, first HSS will only engage from 1/16 power and above and then just press the eyeball and set buttons together to engage HSS. if you still have issues get back and I'll try to help. Paul
PATHTECHDESIGN yes Paul I figured it out eventually in one of the few articles and manuals I had to read. It was a bit tricky for me. But thanks for your reply Paul . I appreciate it 👍🏻 btw very good tutorial . Good work 👍🏻thanks
Which trigger will work with the Sony a7IV e mount
amzn.to/4bEWdkB or this one amzn.to/48ovXrP I own both for my Sony a7iv and a7III but use the X2T the most because of it's low profile form factor and you can see the screen without tilting the camera down.

You're most welcome. Check out this new trigger from Godox: www.godox.com/product-a/X3.html looks interesting. Cheers
I put it but my screen shows black when I put the it all idk y
Does it work on HD-600V
Does your HD-600V have the little remote for it like the RL-600B? If yes, it will work by mounting it on the X1Ts. If not, then you need an X1Rs and run a sync cable to your HD-600V. Hope that helps? Paul
@@PTPhotoGearReviews Yes, he has a small device. Thanks for the reply
happy to help, have a great weekend!
