  • This fall, the Kansas Food Bank celebrated 40 years of serving our neighbors, a milestone that would not have been reached without the many, many hunger relief partners, volunteers, donors, and staff.
As we reflect back on 40 years of innovation, like creating the Food 4 Kids program, Bob Boxes for seniors, mobile distributions and more, we know our work isn't done. We look forward to continuing programs like Food is Medicine and distributing healthy, nutritious foods to eradicate hunger in Kansas.
To all who joined us to celebrate 40 years with our community, thank you. We'd also like to recognize and thank a few folks who have been instrumental in our work:
-Deann Smith, United Methodist Open Door, Longevity Award
-Rev. Jackie Carter, Table of Hope, Hunger Hero Award
-Jim Shelden, Kansas Food Bank, Founding Board Member
-Lila & Bob Keefer, Kansas Food Bank Volunteers, Dedicated Outstanding Duo
-Debi Kreutzman, Kansas Food Bank, 15 Year Changemaker
Special thanks to our partners who made the celebration possible:
    -Dillons
    -INTRUST Bank
    -Brad Cecil & Associates
    -NICHE
    -Redler Institute of Culinary Arts
    -Cargill
    -Confections of a Midnight Baker
