Man I know I’ve made a few mistakes like giving out a price without seeing the interior condition, sure had fun with that one. But I been learning as I go, the detailing part is easy but the business side is what kind of throws me off. Kind of weird that I had the same conversation with my dad LoL, it all takes time though. Awesome videos!

  • @stephenlouden480

do what you can with the time, tools and chemicals you're using to your advantage. concentrate on areas that need the work for that detail and not every single time. you don't need to remove and re coat the vehicle with protection every wash. unless it's been deleted. save time and energy and shoot for an hour total per car inside and out. you don't need the best tools just one that get the job done. First few washes get vehicle perfect so the next 20 washes can be completed easily and quickly. it's all about the maintenance wash on repeat customers. you know the clients wants and c the vehicles you're working b on and it'll make your life easier. Ceramic coatings are the exception to spending more time and using everything you can during prep and application. don't make it harder for yourself. work smarter not harder. you do great work and I love your channel. keep it up

Bro- I love you 😂. I feel like I’m watching myself from a few years ago. I’m in California and have been completely restless for 4 years. I seem to be the only one that actually follows local water regulations, most customers are used to seeing the foam cannon I think it’s cool. You have to do what works best for you with both efficiency, and what gets the job done best for you

I for one will never do a fleet detail for a customer car. I’m going to tell you why. The customers pays more than double. Dealerships pays us on avg $125-150 per detail. There’s level to it.

I don’t agree with your take on which is better, being the best detailer or knowing how to expand. As if those aren’t things you can be good at both simultaneously. The more you’re capable of and understand your field of work, the easier growth will be. When you can personally train someone else to do top tier work, you can then think about big time expansion. If you can’t do a proper wax and polish without causing maring for example, how do you plan on 10Xing your detailing business? The way you’re describing it is simply starting a detailing business & than instantly hiring a crew.

In reality, if you get injured and you are the sole person doing the detailing, you are now broke. If you have two employees and they know they are employees and not the owner then you can move on to being able to make them understand they do the work and you do the management. Then if and when you get injured the business can continue on and your lifestyle will not change and continues providing you and your family a living income. LISTEN TO Oscar!
