Do you find Dollar bars are much different to tick or volume bars?

It is well known to financial industry insiders that dollar and tick bars are normally distributed, as opposed to time bars that have a fat tail distribution. If something is normally distributed it is much easier to predict. But you'll only hear this from pros.
@@HitAndMissLab I like tick charts personally. I just can't see how dollar bar charts are any better that tick or volume charts. Surely they're the same? Contracts have a dollar value. So surely a dollar chart looks the same as a volume charts. Unless you're looking at very long timeframes... In which case dollar charts will give a better impression of trends but a logarithmic tick/volume chart would too.
@@Kevergy5 I think that it all boils down to market structure. All markets are run by market makers and they have fixed money allocations. That translates into a fact that wen they reach some limit that we don't know they'll move the price. And that unknowable limit is always going to related to transaction volume. That's, at least, how I make sense of that.
Do your orders ever get stuck I have this problem all the time with my market making algos

@@DrFinancenstein My limit orders turn to orange lines and then will not update with market and will not cancel on the platform. I have to go into the web version and cancel out. Apparently this is a problem if you Google stuck orders on ninjatrader. I have tried resetting the database and testing internet speeds. This only happens on Apex/live - Sim and playback work fine. I even used the trade copier from Sim to Apex and orders still get stuck on Apex account, but not Sim.

Things like this should be used by those working 9to5 running the maze in the 'rat race'. If they could set aside and invest 3k to 5k from their tax return or savings, then plug that money into this ALGO trading AI, it could really help them make ends meet. (If this works that is)
And if things go to their satisfaction, they could just keep adding to the principal till they could produce enough from trading that they could stop working altogether.
Imagine that. Imagine retiring in 10yrs, 15yrs, or 20yrs successfully and Financially Free at 40 or 50. Instead of 65 or 70?

Always wanted to create this implementation of neat, tried a simple neat python project but training was just too slow. excited to see this come out so I can dig into it. Great work!
