Huge fan of Depeche Mode since 1982. I've seen them 7 times. Last time in 1992 at the Frank Erwin center in Austin, TX. Dave was f**ked up on H and was swaying but that one of a kind voice never wavered. Love Depeche Mode, Erasure, Yazoo, The Assembly and anything Vince Clark is a part of.
Thanks so much. Yes, I love Vince as well. Those smaller projects were simply amazing. Imagine if The Assembly had continued? Or Yazoo? But I guess it wasn’t meant to be. Just like the 1990 Violator show in Melbourne. We were first in line at the venue (literally at the front door) when we heard news that the show was cancelled due to David "losing his voice". *ahem* All the fans were just shocked, and we found ourselves walking from Festival Hall in disbelief. But I’m seeing them in Switzerland this year in June. Woo hoo! Cheers, John.

"Photographic" Wow! You went way back! LOL! Those early albums had some gems. Been a fan since "Speak and Spell". SO happy they returned to their synth pop roots with this one.
Yes, this album is definetly more synth than the last few ones. They will never go back 100% synth, but that's OK

Yup, got hooked as well after Just can't get enough in 1981. And that's how it's been ever since. Never seen them live though. Great version!
Exactly the same story for me!!! I always felt like a late comer as I missed "Dreaming of Me" LOL. but I bought EVERTHING they put out since then (apart from the appaling Sounds of the Universe) and whatever their last 2 albums were called LOL. The deluxe version of Sounds of (I didn't find that album too bad) had some extra tracks I enjoyed. And some demos. I've bought it all, was hard to keep track of all limited editions of each 12". But except one and the not for sale 12" singles with DJ dance remixes I have them all.
OMG I just realised I *actually* bought the Limited Edition Box Set of Sounds of the Universe. I should find it and sell it. It's probably in my garage blocking a mouse hole or something 😂😎😂

And I agree, this Depeche Mode song is a great comeback! Such a simple, but hearfelt song. I love they did that , because they don't need to prove the great musicians they are anymore! I'm happy if they just open themselves and express what they feel.
