This. This is how villains in NCIS should be done. Only P2P Killer, La Grenouille and Ari have ever really been on this level. Saleem did well as being cold, but suffered from not enough build-up. But I struggle to think of another villain of this sort of quality in NCIS.
Ari was one of the few tv villians you'd *REALLY* want to see meet a very gruesome, and violent end so bad that it almost feels like an obsession. The only stupid thing that dumbfounded me was the way they used him as part of the process to kill off Kate. How the hell didn't she recognize the guy that held her at gunpoint the first time they met? She wasn't that stupid for the 2 seasons she was in the show and way they tied that in was close to absurd. In any case, it did drive the stakes to find him and stop him up a hilarious notch - only to be stopped (almost anti-climacticly) by his own step-sister: Ziva David. It took several eps to build him up and he wound up dead in Gibb's basement in a sucker-punch double-cross.
Sasha Alexander had a six season contract. She left unexpectedly because of the physical toll the show took and apparently for other reasons she won’t talk about. So they had to find a way to write her out quickly and dramatically. Not surprised they killed her off tbh
