You needed the mic? haha.. if yes... just go for the Gramr. Kinera cables lineup is not my tea (although QoA is kind of their sister brand, I like RUM better)
Thinking about getting this for my yume2 just don't know if occ is good since it uses ofc cable? Love the iem with ss tips. Or use one with palladium or graphene? Thinking about epz cable or ivipq as alternative in this price range.
Rum is spc.. and for the price it's quite nice. Don't think can get legit palladium at this price point. Usually better palladium cost at lesst 3 times more expensive. Haha
@@jordanng5428 ivipq 253, ivipq 525, epz dp13, epz dp12 or epz dp11 would be my alternative choices maybe could you check If something is a good alternative with the matreials 🙏
how does DoA Rum compare to Kinera Dromi? the spec seems very similar but Rum is around half the price, and it has slighty different built (cross braided instead of twist braided, pvc jacket instead of pu jacket).
Cadmus has a very noticeable changes to sound, almost an instant difference that you can tell. Cadmus has more subbass and soundstage, alooot of stage to me. And it pair very well with iem with balanced or boring signature. Rum on the other hand, is more subtle but it carries the usual SPC traits, giving a boost in the V way. In term of build quality, I will give it to the RUM, it just feel soft and comfy to handle. Cadmus jack is loose and twistable, I hate it. Although its rhodium, I still modded it to other 4.4 connector. hahaha
@@jordanng5428 I have a nio paired with the Cadmus My u6T will be arriving in few days so which one should I go for Cadmus or rum? Cadmus which I already own but wanted to try kinera rum , will it pair well with u6T?
@@dbji88 i pairing U6T with Eros S.. aesthetic wise, gray is super match with u6t. Their anniversary version which is selling same price looks even nicer. But sound effect is not as great with Cadmus. Cadmus adding that dynamic V signature helps U6T shine a little more. Dont think Rum will pair very well.
If you genuinely believe there is an audible difference in sound between the stock and the QoA RUM, publish a frequency response of both cables to corroborate your claims.
hi Jordan, does the Rum cable help in sibilance issue? I find the Oracle MK2 hissy, lots of "sshh" sounds especially for female vocals which is distracting. Comparing the original cable versus the Rum cable what is the difference in the sound on the Oracle MK2? The vocals is super smooth on Oracle MK1, so I'm disappointed on why Thieaudio tuned the Oracle MK2 with spicy vocals.
Hi bro.. I dont think cable would make any too noticeable change. Try find aliexpress, for 500 mesh filter (must 5mm diameter). And after you burnt it bit more, its gonna be tamer. It happens to me and my friend. The mesh helps alooooot, while still retaining the details and staging. 👍
After venture more into the cable world. Found others that are more worth it. And interchangeable termination has durability issue. I would go with Cema cable, Liquid Link cable.
Nice to see reviewers doing cable, as when i entered 500 range of iems i start to notice cable difference. Would this pair with ke orchestra og? Its a bit bright and lean, lacking some bass presence. If no what cable would you rec under 200 or 100 much better.
Yup.. this will give some dynamics to the Orc OG.. in fact, I am using it on my Monarch Mk3. I have tried with pure copper cable, gold plated copper, graphene + copper on the Mk3, pairing aren't that great. But somehow, I went back to the Rum cable. Bass just felt to me , tighter.
I see. Based on what you say it makes the sound more v. Interesting. I feel like i don't need any more treble on og orch. If its not too much, would like to ask your rec for a warmer cable. I found xinhs single crystal coppers to not do the job, so I'm afraid most of the common cheap coppers would sound the same, one fellow said the same on his hakugei rice. It would be very helpful if you can rec me a legit copper cable. Would really appreciate it.
@@Sifu26 haha.. copper i will only go Liquid Link Conti. Its not too expensive. And you will get a hell of a cable. Its only 120usd or lesser. It was also the stock cable for Elysian Diva. The jack and splitter is the TOTL hardware u get to see around. I have 2 conti and 2 rum.. hahaha
Thanks for the review, its 80euros and for that price I'm considering it but the Kinera Gramr is also on my radar.

It looks like Kinera's Leyding cable (QoA & Kinera sister companies??) Leyding is a different colour & $25 cheaper...
