      @Craig Lamb that wouldn’t make sense. Shepherds don’t just leave their dogs out dirty and hurt. If that were the case the shepherd would’ve gotten help for that puppy not just leave him with that spray. And that would mean the couple stole a puppy. That family of dogs were more likely than not just wild dogs. They said the shepherd from how the antiseptic looked sprayed from afar, you don’t spray from afar if you know the puppy.

    • @mossychaossystem920
      @mossychaossystem920 2 года назад

      It's actually a antiseptic used for farm animals! The farmers of those hills were probably Shepards, and knew that they couldn't take the dog due to the long trip to herd sheep, so they just gave him a antiseptic spray and hoped he and his family would make it! They explained it a bit later in the video at the vets office, and that's why it washed off so easy! Faith in humanity is scarce, but looking between the lines can help remind us that there's still some hope in the kind hearts of the world!
      Edit: it's also why the title says "paint" rather than just paint. It wasn't paint, just a kind hand who did their best!

    • @MariSheWolf
      @MariSheWolf 3 года назад +828

      @@kathyr.8135 Its an antiseptic, anti-fungi and it kills/prevents larvae in livestock. It creates a barrier in open wounds and helps it heal without getting infected, while the colour helps the owners to know which animal to keep an eye on in case it worsens. The problem in this case must've been that the wound was too deep.
      If it was a shepherd, like the vet suspected, they would be carrying it in case any of their animals got injuried.

    • @Abigail-hu5wf
      @Abigail-hu5wf 3 года назад +309

      @@kathyr.8135 It's a spray-on antimicrobial that shepherds use on their flocks to try to limit infections and infestations when the sheep get injured and might be infected. They're always a very unnatural colour, usually blue but sometimes purple or pink, because it allows the farmer to recognise which sheep is the one that needs additional care whenever the shepherd drives them back to the paddock they sleep in. The farmer can go "oh, the one with the massive blue stain, that's the one that will need treatment for flystrike".
      In this case, it functioned to alert passersby that the dog was injured and needed help. So, it basically did the job it was meant to do.

    Ok, so for those who missed it in the video. It looks like the blue "paint" the puppy was sprayed with was likely an antiseptic spray often used for livestock and other animals that you can spray from a distance. Likely he fell off one of the cliffs and either the previous owner or a local shepherd found him first and sprayed the antiseptic on him to avoid infection. Clearly that is not enough help for the animal but it looks more and more like the puppy had a legitimate accident, someone used a very colorful medication on him, and he was picked up and given further help by this nice couple. The vet even says that it was likely antiseptic so it is not likely that a human went out of their way to beat up this puppy and spray paint on him.

      Yes. They say that in the video. The veterinarian who treated the puppy said it is likely a blue antiseptic spray used by a farmer.

    • @bobbrown8155
      @bobbrown8155 3 года назад +4

      That blue spray is a very common antiseptic in that part of the world (Turkey). They use them for livestock and dogs. The color is to know the area you covered. Spray paint won’t wash out that easily. The person who sprayed the puppy was trying t o help him.

      @intriguing Woman I don't infer ownership by using the term "ours." The terms is meant to express a caretaker - if you will - relationship. We and animals are here together. And if you'd ask me, humans have that responsibility. Good intentions aside, we generally tend to generally fail at acknowledging and understanding it. At the end of the day, my dogs are mine as I am theirs. I care for them and they care for me. Pretty simple.

    What amazes me is that these poor animals show right upfront emotional connection despite their situation. Animals usually fear interaction with any unknown element. This little puppy didn't have a chance to know humans enough to trust them. But he trust them right away. That's what breaks my heart because I see how their vulnerability can be exploited by the kids.

    • @riverrebel1
      @riverrebel1 3 года назад +4

      The puppy likely belonged to a shepherd, so he'd had human interaction. It's more survival of the fittest with working dogs like that, sad but true

    So it's totally possible that they are livestock Guardian dogs and his brothers and sisters actually do have an owner and that's why they've all been sprayed with antiseptic. But the owner couldn't afford vet bills or whatever and since the dogs didn't have a collar these Travelers just figured they could take him. Well better to be taken away from his family and live.
    I hope the former owner sees this and is okay with it.

    • @angelwhispers2060

      @Cease AndDesist not arguing that point. I just hope whoever gave him the antiseptic sees the video and is okay with it LOL you know humans have emotions about these things

    • @angelwhispers2060

      @Cease AndDesist my point is that could have been an economic decision not an emotional one.
      In our plushie comparatively Rich Western societies we don't think about literally not having the money to do something or not being able to work hard enough to obtain the money to do something. It's really entitled of you to assume that they had the money and couldn't be bothered.
