Uscenes presents our first 21:9 video screensaver. You can download this footage in 2 options: 3440 x 1440 UHD or 2560 x 1080 FHD.

The aim will be to control ads so they don't show in the middle of videos or at the end of sleep aid videos.
This super wide aquarium will fill your ultra wide 21:9 screen beautifully. Whether you have one of the cinema display TVs which give you the true resolution of cinemas as 21:9, or a computer monitor of the same width.
This is not meant for normal screens. We have a similar standard format video called Finding Dory for normal screens. This product is a download for the small number of people who have discovered the delight of extra wide TVs and monitors.
This ultra wide aquarium download features lovely flowing coral, colorful hard coral, plus lots of colorful fish. There are species you will recognize from the movies Finding Dory and Finding Nemo- Blue Tang, Clownfish and many more.
Now you won't have black bars at the side of your ultra wide screen.
You can download the two resolutions in 2 formats:
1. An MP4 video to play on your Ultrawide cinema display TV and loop it by pressing the repeat button. Depending on your setup you may be able to stream it from your PC using a 4K streaming device like the new UHD Google Chromecast device. Or you can simply download it to your computer, copy and paste it to a USB flash drive, then plug into your super wide TV.
2. An Ultrawide Windows screensaver in Ultra HD or Full HD resolution. Choose your resolution, then download a 3 minute self looping clip. The ultra wide Windows screensaver gives you the option to set a screenshot as your background desktop wallpaper, you can alter or mute the volume. You can also choose which screens to play it on. The screensaver can be played on multiple screens but it doesn't extend over screens side by side. Basically each monitor plays the same aquarium video.
This is a new format for us, so any feedback is most welcome. This video wasn't filmed in 21:9, so we have chopped the top and bottom off. However if there is good interest in ultrawide relaxation videos we will start filming with 21:9 resolution in mind. This will be particularly good for landscapes, but it will also work out great for fish tanks which are often much wider than our normal resolution.
Uscenes creates videos to help you relax. Our 4K videos and this one all have 5.1 surround sound. The simple sound of bubbles on this video is very relaxing.

there seems to be no name for the 21:9 resolution yet. Our offerings are somewhere between Full HD and Ultra HD, perhaps closest to QHD. LG have registered the name UltraWide, Vizio call their TVs CinemaWide. There are various other terms floating about like super wide, mega wide, extra wide etc...

@@cmdcs Glad you like it. The watermarks/text is there to encourage people to pay for computer and TV screensaver versions, but we have tried doing some videos where they fade in much more gently, like you suggest. Will try and do that more in future as we need to find a nice balance between advertising which annoys people and making the videos pleasant to watch.

Good video but for me need a more relaxing "water" sound.
I may made a very long version with no branding. To me it sounds nice - is there are specific element you don't like? If so we will try replacing that element with the new version.

I have just found some old footage from this tank, which is very popular, but from different angles, so I will get one made soon and post back here when done. 🤓 I have also found a jellyfish video like our popular jellyfish one, so may make that super ultra wide too.

Thanks Mercy, that is good to know. Regarding the FPS the video was filmed and encoded at 24 FPS. Is this not ideal for these displays? We have always done 24 as that is the cinema standard.
That's all good. I thought perhaps you had recorded it at a higher FPS and youtube reduced it, but it's not as though you can tell the difference when it's a screensaver! My monitor can run 100fps but it still looks smooth. Looking forward to when my 4K Ultra HD Windows Screensaver is finished downloading!

this video needs more watermarks
This is nice and all, but it would be better if the fish were in focus. All the sharpness is on the coral.
I agree Peter. This was actually shot using a vintage lens which my Dad probably hadn't used in 30 years, so I wanted to see how it did "wide open", which means a thinner amount is in focus. We will not be so selfish next time so that more is in focus.

Wish I had an ultrawide
You should get one. I just got a great value one the other week. Keep an eye out for sales or eBay. It was just double the cost of a normal screen. Remember you need to order a bigger size for ultrawide monitors though, so at least you keep the height of your current one: I think my normal monitor is 22" so I had to order a 29" ultra wide to keep it the same height, that might be wrong- basically check the height.
Top Tip: the screens can be very weak and as I was switching the ultrawide was on its back. I threw the lightweight plug from the old monitor and it landed on the screen by mistake and cracked the inside. Any kind of knock on a corner or bump into the screen could break it (probably because I ordered a cheap one).
The thing is that for gaming (esports) non ultrawide is much better. An ultrawide with 144hz costs a lot of money

No, it's just that the name has stuck. I think one type of screen may still be better off using a screensaver or not leaving on brightly, but I don't recall if it was LCD, LED, Plasma or something else.
That would be plasma, which can suffer from burn-in. I don't think there are any plasma screens at this resolution though.

..youd make more money, uploading the full version free on youtube, then collecting the ad$ revenue..& youtube is easier for using this in office settings..can't run video apps like that.
The ad revenue is nothing compared to what we make from website sales so unfortunately that business model doesn't work for us. You don't need to run a video app, just download the file and own it forever.
Correct. When downloaded it can be looped as long as you want and you get 5:1 surround sound too. RUclips has video compression, no 5:1 and ads.
@@Uscenes You literally just responded to someone else saying that you hardly ever sell any… If that is the case you would make a great deal more money without the watermark, you probably get about 500 a week for me alone having it on a loop.
It’s just a very silly business model to try to sell videos on a platform where most people get them for free, with full knowledge of the fact that if you make them more appealing to the audience you will generate more revenue then you would paying customers from the same exact audience.

This video was encoded in Ultrawide resolution and we are calling our Ultra HD 3440 x 1440 pixels, for 21:9 videos.
If you mean traditional 16:9 Ultra HD we also have recordings of the aquarium in normal UHD resolution which is 3840 x 2160 pixels on Uscenes.com
I think to get the full 3440 x 1440 resolution version you need to select 2160 4K from the settings icon. RUclips didn't support non 16:9 videos when this was uploaded so they added the black bars bumping up the size.

Ahhh, the entitled generation... We are two people. We don't have any budget for "production". Nevertheless we made this aquarium, bought 4K cameras, bought PCs that could edit 4K footage, spent time on the process and we sell hardly any. $20 is not a rip off. Most sales are the $7 screensaver. We make 6 different versions of each video. Open your mind a bit.
@@Uscenes I believe you are the one with the closed mind. This is a prime example of one shooting themself in the foot. It’s called delayed gratification… you really don’t need watermarks in order to sell the more crisp uncompress version of the video.
@@swisshakilla Apologies for the generalization. But people can just click the Download button here to download the video and this is a good quality version. I am interested in what you said about possibly looping it for a long time though- please clarify that and if we do it we will be very grateful.
We tried with a 16:9 video once and it didn't make any money, might have hurt sales. But I am happy to try again for ultrawide.

Just awful. Only 30 fps.
It is 24 fps. The cinema standard which nearly all movies use. They tend to look a bit intense at 60 fps as the eye doesn't really see that fast. 24 fps gives a nice smooth look. Will give it a try next time I go to an aquarium as we are about to get a HDR 4K camera which can do 60 fps.
