he will mess up the starting 5 of the clippers. they averaged 31 assists per game with mann pg and leonard and went 10-2. benching mann to play with bones and gordon will not benefit mann whatsoever. remember, defenders will leave russ open. plus yes, the clippers have shooters, but doesnt necessarily mean that russ will magically put up insane numbers. there are a lot of variables still in play

LBJ and AD do not come of pin downs in screens generating easy offensive looks for (Themselves)George and Kawhi Leonard does... you will see a seamlessly fit with Russell Westbrook in the clippers opposed to the Lakers. He’s not just around star power. He's in a culture around ball movement, shooting, defenders and last not least star power🔥 and Russ on any given night will be what this clippers team needs of ever its lacking energy or ball movement. What ith the ability to sit him down if he's not performing well.

@@lowiecantgreen9496 he just wasn’t a good fit with the Lakers. They had no shooters to space the floor for him to operate, the clippers do. He also helps them when Kawhi isn’t playing. Again he didn’t work for the Lakers but the Clippers are a better fit for what he likes to do.
@LowieCantGreen Russ's 2 guard on the Lakers was shorter than him lmao. Now he's got PG13 as his 2 guard, 2 good bigs that play more than 20 games a season, Kawhi at the 3. Plenty of wings on the team and no 3 guard lineups. I think he will be just fine

Russ playmaking is one of the best in the league, in Lakers they tried to do him Shooting Guard without ball, when guy cant shoot. Now with ball with his hands he can drop 18-20 ppg with 8 assists

Russ with the ball in his hand is waaaaay better than him off the ball. He finally has a team that doesn’t require him to play shooting guard, he’s their point guard and he will thrive
kawhi has the ball in his hands way more than you think. he went 5 straight isos last game. thatll mean russ will still have to shoot 3s. the problem with russ is his shooting and not the players around him
@@copeee835 that’s possible. We’ve been in situations where Lebron is a iso player. Hopefully Russ has more confidence with this new team that he doesn’t hesitate when he has to shoot the ball. Hopefully he takes his shots in rhythm and not think about it.
@@jacobywoodard1623 yup the main problem with russ wasnt his overall play. It really went down to his shot selection and shooting. Im a lakers fan and ive seen him force his shots and brick most of them ngl. Let's say the lakers did have shooter back then. The problem was no one defends russ in the 3point line beyond. Thats why even if you surround him with shooters, defenders will still sag off him because of his 29% 3pt. They will live with him shooting it rather than letting hin find an open man
@@copeee835 last time Russ has shooters around him was in Houston, and we all saw him average 30 on 50%. And if you look at the clippers roster now, they have those same shooters that Houston had. This is GIGANTIC upgrade when it comes to spacing than what LA had. Russ has the ability to score a high volume again and play make. Just depends on if they actually let him play that way. Honestly, clippers has everything needed to win. They now have transition game, they can play in the half court setting and they can defend. That’s a recipe for success. But, like Gilbert said, if russ put his head down and just attack the basket and stick to his mid range game I really believe he gone thrive. Especially since PG advocated for him. He wants russ to feel comfortable and just hoop

The biggest difference between the Lakers and Clippers in this situation is Westbrook will be expected to sign the Clippers with minimum contract.
Lakers couldn’t put him on the bench for a long time because his contact was huge.
But if clippers signed Westbrook with minimum, they can use him as a solid role player and they can cut him whenever they want. So This is a completely different story for the Clippers.

I just have a strong feeling either the Boston Celtics or Milwaukee Bucks will win the 2023 NBA championship later this year in 2023 when all is said and done in June of year 2023 later this year. Just like I had a strong feeling of Argentina winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar back in October 2022. It surely came to pass like I thought Argentina would win it on December 18th 2022. Russ can be effective in the right system
Give him some actual floor spacing (going from one of the worst 3 point shooting teams to one of the best), let him push the pace which the Clippers have been very bad at this year, all he's gotta do is be better than what Reggie and Wall were this year, and thats not a high bar to pass.

Unfortunately, I don't think he's going to make a difference on this Clippers team. I mean, he's a good player but the Clippers aren't a winning team. They've had great opportunities but just can't seem to capitalize on it. I'm hoping they'll bond with Westbrook and change all that. We'll see....
The clippers were just in the WCF without Kawhi 2 seasons ago and had injuries last year. If they can stay healthy big “IF”. They definitely are a contending team with or without Russ
