    I did the same thing on my Maxima but I used carbon fiber vinyl
    But I think it looks better the way you did it
    I'll do the same
    Looks more professional and more durable
    Thanks again for sharing your great ideas

    Good to know. I don't mind the chrome but my 2015 Camry trims were dented to crap in a hailstorm. Bodyworking them with primer/glaze/paint might be a good way to go.

    Looks pretty good. I was planning on painting the chrome trim black on my Crown Vic but since the rest of the car will be painted all glossy black I'm not sure that would be such a great idea. Also glad to see you put those sanding blocks to good use.

    • @JamesDguy

    Just use SEM trim black so it lasts. And clean and degrease before you sand. That way you don’t sand wax and grease into the parts. Definitely looks much better though. 👍

    • @JamesDguy
      @JamesDguy  6 лет назад

      I just washed the car prior to doing this and wiped it down but never had a issue with sanding first wiping 2nd. But i could see how it would affect the outcome. Thankfully i didn't have a issue.

    Hey thanks for the videos man they’ve helped me out a lot I recently spray painted my trim door handles and mirror caps. A couple spots along the window trim the paint peeled up a little on the edge exposing a little bit of chrome ( I guess I pulled the tape up too early?) Is there any way to touch that up besides sanding it all down and re painting

    You gotta get rid of the overspray on that back right window. idk how that's not driving you crazy. remove the corners of a razor blade and scrap at a 45 angle. use solvents in increasing harshness and you'll get it.
