I moved last November and this past January I started my 52 in 52, where I try a new to me restaurant or take away every week for a year. It's a great way to try out new places and new cuisines. Can't wait for 2023!
Megan’s is one of my favourites! Next time you HAVE to try the baked cookie dough pudding - it’s heaven. And their halloumi fries and posh kebabs are delicious too!
Batch’d in my area do Doboy donuts too. Nice but they’re a bit style over substance. Very bready and the cream tastes exactly the same in all the donuts. Kinder cookie was incred tho
We have one of those dessert places in my town centre and I got a cookie and a blondie and I was disappointed with both, I would not return. I feel the cookie would ha e been ok warm but the blondie had a wired taste. Glad you enjoyed your choices. 💜
So I had wimpy for the first time a few months ago and I LOVED it. (I got tea though, not a massive takeaway-breakfast kind of person.) Thought it was very expensive but definitely one of the most delicious fast food I'd tryed. I tried it again the next month and had a very similar experience to you - everything was just so greasy and messy and it just really put me off. So maybe wimpy is inconsistent?
I can't believe there is literally a wimpy burger 5 mins down the road from me and I have literally never walked in there in my entire life haha but after seeing this I'm gonna give it a go
Oh my god! I use to love wimpy! We use to go there all the time as children. Knickerbocker glory were amazing! They took it away and I haven’t been since I was a kid!

How had you not been to wimpy before was a child hood staple for along with McDonald’s would have been better eating at home as it’s very messy
Right! Wimpy was defo a childhood thing. Because you could sit in and have a meal on a plate with knife and fork! Bender in a bun!

So strange. In South Africa Wimpy is known for their breakfast because they are normally open very early. Personally I don't like them at all though.
