Just passed the AANP FNP National Certification Exam November 2, 2020! I appreciate the advice in this video and wanted to tell you. For anyone out there who feels lost or overwhelmed by resources listen to the advice in this video!!! Similarly to NurseAggz I recommend reading the Leik book once, highlight what you want to review, then go back and read what you highlighted a second time, paying close attention the exam tips in each chapter. Then, purchase the Walden Bronze Crash Course a week before your exam and listen to it twice. That's exactly what I did and I passed. I studied for a total of 4 weeks after my graduation. Don't forget the questions in the back of the Leik book and READ THE RATIONALES!

Hi Nurse Aggz! I just wanted to come on here and say THANK YOU for this video. After I graduated, I wasn't sure exactly where to begin studying. After watching this video, I decided that I was going to do exactly what you did and I PASSED my AANP AGNP exam today on the first try!!!! Seriously thank you so much for this video and all of your advice. There are so many different studying options out there and I think this is the best combination (and most affordable!). Walden + Leik + taking the AANP practice tests is the key to success. Thank you x10000!

Thank you sooo much for your guidance! I passed the first time I took the FNP exam. Here’s what I did: I did Leik’s questions twice (I didn’t read through her book- only referenced it if I did not understand something), Walden’s Crash Course review, and I added Shaira Cohen’s Review to the mix … and wah la! I believe everything coupled together nicely and really helped me. Thank you again for spreading your knowledge! You were the ONLY one who really helped me 😊

Congrats! I just finished school a few weeks ago. Planning to take the AANP in October or early November. I am having trouble in making a plan to study...I get overwhelmed with all that needs to be covered. If you could post a picture of your calendar to give a guide on how you broke it down, that would be greatly appreciated! Congrats once again!

Hi, I came across your video recently and I just wanted to say a big ole THANK YOU!!! Great advice! I finished FNP school in December and wanted to take the exam ASAP. I scheduled it for January and had some stuff going on so I rescheduled it to the Feb 2nd-snowstorm hit and everything shut down. Rescheduled it to Feb 4th and passed!!!!!! I don’t have Facebook and never heard about Latrina Walden until you mentioned her. I loved her videos and they were super helpful in passing the exam. I went through most of the Leik book, def went over all of the exam tips and clinical pearls-wrote those out, and went over that two days before the exam. I practiced questions from Leik, PSI, and Hollier certification question book. I work full-time and part time schedule but closer to the exam I only worked part time.
**All the new grads out there you got this!! I took the exam eight months pregnant. I am due next month really wanted to pass before I gave birth because it’s gonna be a busy few months ahead with my toddler and a newborn.

Hollier is great-I tried doing her APEA review course for $375 but I didn’t find it to be exam specific. Good information but not what I needed at the time. So I used her certification questions book, along with Liek and and Latrina walden crash course.
Hi , thank you for your informative video. I am reading the Leik book, doing its online questions and watching the Hollier videos. Would you recommend buying board vitals in addition or not necessary?

Congratulations! I will be taking boards May 2021 and was wondering if you found the Leik book outdated since it was published in 2013. Does AANP go by ACC/ AHA 2017 HTN guidelines, JNC8, both? Just trying to decide if I should buy the 3rd edition or hold out to see if something new comes out??
There's a new fourth edition that was published in January 2021 with digital access
QUESTION: I listened to another opinion regarding the AANP exam. Would you agree that students do NOT need to memorize specific lab values since the values are given already when taking the exam? I do not want to commit to memory anything that is not essential.
Hey congrats Aggz! 🎉 I just took Nclex and was wondering if FNP boards exam is similar to Nclex adaptive testing format? Also, would u say the questions were easier or harder or more vague than the ones you studied? Do you recommend any study apps or websites for FNP style questions?
Congrats to you. No, there are two versions of the FNP exam. You must complete all 150 questions. The questions were similar to the ones I studied. The book by the author Leik has app with practice questions. Also FNP mastery app

Yup I would! Read leik first focusing on the pearls at the end of the chapter then do latrina!

I tried Fitzgerald, youtube, Barkley and associates and some others and still failed 4 attempt. I feel so frustrated don't know what to do anymore...
Try Mr Philip, he is really helpful and Reliable to work with.
I remember being frustrated and at the point of giving up on my dream before someone introduced me to him and thankfully, he made me proud🥰.
