You are just touching the surface brother, Alter Bridge have so many different styles or songs that are so complicated! Check out Blackbird - Alter Bridge
Myles is my musical man crush. Such an amazingly talent musician, but also so humble and down to earth. He and Mark Tremonti's voice blend so well. AB are also awesome live, have been lucky to seen them a few times when they've toured Australia and they are sick.
Myles kennedy is insane ....He was called in by Jimmy page to jam with Zeppelin , He also has another band with Slash ...He stepped up for Guns and Roses when Axl did not show up in the Rock and roll hall of fame....Slash said he is the greatest lead singer he has ever worked with..phill hughes of deep purple said Myles was the best modern rock singer out there....Alter bridge is fucking awsome...they got like 8 minute epics such as Blackbird , Fable of the silent son , fortress etc...all of these just a journey
Anything Tremonti touches is gold...I put him and Eddie VH as my fav lead guitarists. But seriously, take a deeper dive into AB and Tremonti, starting with their most epic of epics..Blackbird. Modern Zepplin. And I've never considered them "rock" coming from an 80s child, I categorize them as alternative metal.
What an excellent band AlterBridge is! They have a top notch and varied repertoire of musical output. You’re in for a treat if you go down the AlterBridge ‘rabbit hole’ mate! They just don’t know how to write a bad song! Great band of musicians💪
Great rection. This is one of the singles, not one of my favourite Alter Bridge songs, but still good. You'll find the majority of their songs do have greater complexity than this. Don't be fooled into thinking they are a straight down the line rock band. The thing about Alter Bridge is that they have so much range They can write the straight rock song radio hit but they can also write prog metal epics, even stuff bordering on thrash or an emotional acoustic ballad they pull it all off convincingly. It's hard to categorise Alter Bridge but I'd say that they straddle the line between hard rock and prog metal and that is said as the greatest of compliments. These guys can get heavy af without sacrificing melody. The songs they write are still catchy and the lyrics are still meaningful and some of those riffs are insanely heavy. AB have no problem putting out songs that are over 6 minutes with multiple movements. They don't really have the desire to fit themselves into the radio friendly format. If Myles or Mark happen to write a song that sounds like a radio single then they roll with it but they don't go out of their way to appeal write thise songs. I'd say you need to listen to some more AB to really get a feel for what they do. Cry of Achilles is probably a good starting point because it's catchy but it also incorporates the complexity you find with other songs but the entire discography is incredible so just listening through all 7 albums in order would be a good idea!
You have SO much catching up to do with these guys! Lol. So many great songs. You aren’t the only one that has missed them though, they are criminally underrated and the casual listener hasn’t heard of them. I can’t think of another band that has 2 lead caliber guitar players, and 2 lead caliber vocalists. Their latest album is killer. I just saw them a few days ago on tour and they didn’t disappoint. You should also check out something from Mark Tremonti’s solo, more metallic band “Tremonti” where he is the singer. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@Roguenjosh he has an incredible vocal range and the chemistry between him and mark with the guitars and vocally makes the band quite unique. I've always thought of it like if Metallica and creed were dbz fused together you'd end up with AB
I want to see you discover your love for AB. Blackbird, Show Me a Leader, Wouldn't You Rather, Watch Over You, Open Your Eyes, Cry of Achilles, This is War, etc. Pawns & Kings will give you whiplash your first listen
Hardly! Creed didn’t play like this! Yes, technically you’re right- 3 guys from Creed and a way better vocalist now in Myles Kennedy. But; Mark Tremonti shreds way better and longer guitar solos and heavier riffs. Also Kennedy writes approximately half the songs and also plays rhythm and lead guitar solos (often in the same songs as Tremonti). They have much more varied and intricate songs and music - everything from melodic acoustic numbers; to heavy melodic rock music, to longer ‘proggy’ style rock and metal! These guys are great together, and I never tire of them like I did when Creed made their music (which truthfully I liked, but not nearly like AB!)
Just saw them last Friday. Myles vocals are just as good live. They are incredible.
I remember the first time I heard Myles Kennedy sing in the movie Rockstar, I was like "I gotta hear more from this guy". Such a killer ass voice.

the live version Wembley my 1st choice (whether Miles was sick or not) or Amsterdam.
Confere todos os álbuns! "...Just touching the surface". Totalmente de acordo!
@@floridawhite Amsterdam is the best, for me. So good!

My favorite band for the past decade. My all time favorite song is Blackbird. Highly suggest the live in Amsterdam version.
You have only scratched the surface of their legendary music 🤟🤘
They have so so many incredible songs, even their less famous ones, plenty to listen to

They such a gem in the hard rock scene still to this day!

Check out Words Darker Than Their Wings live from the Royal Albert Hall. Myles hits a very high note!!!!!
Great reaction Josh, why not give one of their calmer songs a listen? 'In loving memory' live in Amsterdam.
Great rection.

My thoughts exactly! Great explanation!
You’re so right, AB is one of the reasons I play guitar. So much fun! They can also take you on a journey, like with the song Fortress.

Surely you've heard Metalingus! Isolation is one of my favourite songs of theirs
Myles does the guitar solo in the song
Alter bridge the uninvited overlooked even by reactors but by god it's a killer
If you're a wrestling fan, they did Edge's song 'On this day/Metalingus' and also the current song for the group Judgement Day
He did that a month ago
Check out Tremonti, it's the guitar players solo project, especially the first album 😎🤟
My guy, you like this? Good taste. You'll also like Tremonti, the lead guitarist from alter Bridge does vocals as well in that band.
Have you heard "Black Bird"? Fantastic song!!
Hey brother check out their song words darker than their wings.
And mark Tremonti went solo as 'TREMONTI' aswell check them out.

The lead singer, myles kennedy, also sings in another band. Slash n Myles Kennedy n The Conspirators. They released an album recently called '4'.
Slash like slash slash?
@@Roguenjosh yes slash from guns n roses.
@@Roguenjosh THE Slash haha
You need to listen to their newer stuff too! Amazing music!
They r true musicians at their best
Wait until you hear Mark Tremonti sing Franks Sinatras cover…
blackbird amsterdam next its epic
You should check out Myles Kennedy's solo albums. They're fantastic!
Let's not get it twisted nothing mark Tremontii plays is easy lmao😂
Myles....great live....AB, +Slash or alone.
Recommend looking into Mayfield Four.
They used to be the band called Creed, just with a different singer now
Hardly!
