You do realize that there are such things as land line phones from which people can call 911, right? Cell phones aren't the only phones that exist. Do you not know this?
Fantastic, overdue idea. Idiots glued to their phones during an event aren't just detracting from the experience for themselves, but for all the attendees. And the best part is, if you don't like the rule, don't go to the event. Win-win.
Implying there is only one way to enjoy life, and a phone being at least a little involved makes you not enjoying anything at all... the people who market these things might have legitimate niches, those wanting these things might have legit reasons, but Jesus Christ, how clueless and pretentious does that logic sound.
The Pru center in NJ is usingthis now - my venue tickets are digital, my train tickets are digital, I use the phone to keep from carrying paper tickets and now when I get to the show Ive got to put my phone in a big unwieldy bag and stuff it into my pocket
How is masking this attempt to "protect intellectual properties" as an nonsense excuse to better my life by making me live it the way someone else feels is better for me... better than just saying what it really is - a bootleg deterrent. Dumb. What a terrible way to frame this. And in schools, its to prevent cheating and chatting, just like passing notes was frowned on 30 years ago. Its not making anyone "tune in" any more than they would have otherwise. LET ME LIVE THE WAY I WANT!
this is so stupid. all PARENTS need to do is buy their kids the "gabb" [or like] phones for school use! OMG! The solution is so simple but ppl act like it's the biggest deal in the world! All other generations made it ok without the distractions! Mine was the first to endure shootings in school and we are JUST fine!
My only issue with this is that I love taking pictures during concerts. And I mosh and headbang most of the time, so its not like I'm in my device the whole time. I've just gotten really good at taking great pics really quickly. So concerts using this (like Danzig recently announced for misfits reunion shows) is irritating to me.
The exact point of the pouches are to prevent people taking pictures. The rules at venues state that pictures aren't allowed, video isn't allowed, etc. Just staying that you "take great pics really quickly" defeats the point of no pictures at all. Just enjoy the show in real life!
I do enjoy the show in real life. More than most, I'd argue, due to the moshing and whatnot. Or at least I get into it more. I don't understand why people think this is mutually exclusive, just because you sometimes get idiots standing there recording the whole show. Also not all venues say you can't take pics. In fact I'd say thats a minority of them, at least as far as the small and medium sized venues I usually go to. even the bigger ones, usually no one cares as long as you aren't recording the whole thing or bringing professional equipment.

this is stupid. everyone keep saying - "what if there is an emergency?" The staff/security still have their cells. 911 doesnt need 1000 people calling them & blocking the lines for other emergencies. society didnt make you dependent on technology - you did. How come alot of business' can tell their staff - no phones allowed on premise - but schools cant? I don't even use my phone in school until I ask my teacher. And my phone is not in my hand 24/7. You do realize that there are such things as land line phones from which people can call 911, right? Cell phones aren't the only phones that exist. Do you not know this?
Rainey and there are less land lines every year as cities and towns remove them
EXACTLY
@@rainey2764 what if the shooter was smart and shoot the landline
Yeah that’s a no for me especially when it’s unsafe to go school and have to worry about any active school shooters
Huge liability
MANY people at my school broke these things
they wasted their money
🐱
Fantastic, overdue idea. Idiots glued to their phones during an event aren't just detracting from the experience for themselves, but for all the attendees. And the best part is, if you don't like the rule, don't go to the event. Win-win.
Use a key on the back crease to cut it open.
So this man says if I go to my favorite artist concert I shouldn’t be able to have my phone to take photos or videos?
i will issue a charge back to any venue thatnuses this
What about when there is an actual emergency?
IDK what did humans do in 1974 when there was an actual emergency.. We've survived this long without phones..
Your phone wont save your life
Security guards will have phones and the ability to communicate
mobiblu07 You will be escorted out with your phone. Well that happened at the Chris Rock show.
mobiblu07 how about call 911
Implying there is only one way to enjoy life, and a phone being at least a little involved makes you not enjoying anything at all... the people who market these things might have legitimate niches, those wanting these things might have legit reasons, but Jesus Christ, how clueless and pretentious does that logic sound.
The Pru center in NJ is usingthis now - my venue tickets are digital, my train tickets are digital, I use the phone to keep from carrying paper tickets and now when I get to the show Ive got to put my phone in a big unwieldy bag and stuff it into my pocket
The cigarette of our generation.
for real cell phone addiction is rampant
How is masking this attempt to "protect intellectual properties" as an nonsense excuse to better my life by making me live it the way someone else feels is better for me... better than just saying what it really is - a bootleg deterrent. Dumb. What a terrible way to frame this. And in schools, its to prevent cheating and chatting, just like passing notes was frowned on 30 years ago. Its not making anyone "tune in" any more than they would have otherwise. LET ME LIVE THE WAY I WANT!
Just leave your phone in the car.
It's fine in the pocket.
this is so stupid. all PARENTS need to do is buy their kids the "gabb" [or like] phones for school use! OMG! The solution is so simple but ppl act like it's the biggest deal in the world! All other generations made it ok without the distractions! Mine was the first to endure shootings in school and we are JUST fine!
Or, stay with me, kids learn how to just go 8 hours without a phone
They will post better pics than your crappy cellphone
Bring a real camera. Embrace film photography. It worked great for us back in the day and it can work for you too.
@@lilyralph1224 Say that to my Samsung S 20
I got one and locked it and I wasn’t able to see this video until now 😂
Now, what if someone calls you?
Bruno Mars is doing this and it’s krap like who cares we paid to be at your concert why take our phones!!!!
Because you can’t be trusted to follow rules
Super_squishy_awesomeness _ I think having these things aren’t “rules”. What if there was an attack and people couldn’t get to their phones?? I think these things are a huge issue
671JH the same damn thing they did before cell phones🤦♀️ seriously though if there is an attack you would be more likely to survive if you actually were aware of your surroundings. Something you can’t do while stuck to your phone.
@@Supersquishyawesomeness But you realise what is the people don’t know their surroundings and the place is so big that people are going to get lost in it yeah you have a safety problem and the incoming lawsuit
@@tina-po4dx what I realize is that you cannot form a complete sentence. Thank you for proving my point.
My school is starting this year with this pouch
Cant people just turn off their phones instead? Always has to be that one idiot...
If it was just one, they wouldn't do this.
Kids don't need phones at school. In case of emergency parents HAVE to call the office.
"I could hear it vibrate".... Ah OK. IT doesn't turn it off.
Really stupid invention/idea. What about if someone calls you for a medical emergency. What about you need to call 911.
My school is starting this year but it my last year there so I don’t have to worry about it after this year (hopefully)
This whole video was an ok Boomer moment
We Orthodox Jews have been doing this to all tech- tv, phone, etc- for an entire day, once a week. It’s a blessing
this is kinda like being addicted to heroin but only letting yourself do so much in one day
I hate this. CANCEL YONDR POUCHES 2021🗣🗣🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊
Dave chappelle only doing it so he could repeat the same jokes every show
It is illegal to make to people lock their phones in the yondr cases
It's private property, if you wish to attend a venue, then you have to put it in that damn case. That or refuse to enter..
Robert W I look at that as a safety issue because people can't call for when the shit hits the fan how are people so here's what I did to counter yondr I slipped my into my pocket so if the shit got real and my phone were dead or in the yondr case I plan b the ham radio but comedy works tried to seize my radio and told them that they can't do that
I get that and it makes sense, however the other guy ruined it for everyone. Hell I can't even go to the movies with out seeing half the audience tweeting, or on Facebook and the bright screen hurting my eyes. At Concerts and shows, people whip out their phones and watch the show from their screens instead of actually watching the show. With the pouch you can just go outside the no phone area and easily unlock it and make the call.. I remember a time before Cellphones and we were just fine . So what would u do 30 years ago when no Smartphones existed?
LMAO at the stupidity. Pretty simple folks: lock your phone in the yondr case, or don't enter the venue. Nothing illegal about that.
then how did you survive before cellphones?
Oddly this seems like an infringement on something but who cares right?
03:15-03:16 “break from reality”… I would have said “reconnection to reality” 😅
Put the cocaine in the bag!
You can get it after the concert!
Yes; you can keep it on your person, you just can't use it during the performance. OKAY?
Thank God I'm not a drug addict.
And I thought my school was strict wi the off and in your pocket policy. I’ll never complain again.
Love this idea!!!!!!
No-Rosa parks
this is stupid. everyone keep saying - "what if there is an emergency?" The staff/security still have their cells. 911 doesnt need 1000 people calling them & blocking the lines for other emergencies.
society didnt make you dependent on technology - you did. I know alot of people that can live without being attached to their phones/computers. It is YOUR CHOICE! Stop blaming others.
How come alot of business' can tell their staff - no phones allowed on premise - but schools cant? This is whats happening - these kids are being catered to & are expecting that when they become adults!
I lived before cell phones - Im not sure how - but I did. So -it shows that EVERYONE can live without it in their hands 24/7
STFU
It's for a more personal reason that people are complaining. Its that it takes the option to say goodbye to a loved one.
I don't even use my phone in school until I ask my teacher. And my phone is not in my hand 24/7. And no I was not my choice to be on a smartphone it was mostly my parents cuz they wanted me to be able to communicate. Also what if I need to take a picture of a crime scene for proof? What if I need to use my phone for an emergencie? What if I need my phone to take a picture for a friend and then I out it away?
yondr also uses a signal jammer
My school is having this, this year
