- This is a series of stories from Appalachia from Wicked Mountain Withes to the well loved faith healers called Granny Witches and a video about wart cures in the Appalachian Mountains

I never got to meet my grandmother's because of horrible circumstances but from the stories from my family I missed out big time, especially my mom's mom she could do anything and create a meal out of nothing, and saved my cousin at birth his umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and she knew what to do and he lived well she delivered him and possibly a few others sadly a drunk driver took her her at the age of 54 in 1962 just two years before I was born.😓😢 Along with her I lost my big brother and an uncle who was the most humbled person next to my dad they were my mom's family my own family that I never got to meet and enjoy a year earlier I lost my grandpa to black lung he was a underground coal miner, I heard someone say what she said who's going to take care of me that tore me up and my mom I hate alcohol so much. I don't even drink. My mom was never the same in fact she hated me and just blamed me for the world's ills .

It seems to me, you have been walking a similar path to my own.
My mother was and still is a violent alcoholic!! (*1933!!)
As a child I used to find the places she'd hide her vodka,,, and I'd make it disappear then watch as she would tear the whole house apart...
~ but she couldn't say anything because she was only supposed to drink wine and not the spirits,Lol!!
Sometimes I would put it back in the same place she had hidden it, (Much Watered down!!)
Other times I'd disappear it completely or maybe leave it out on the Middle of our Kitchen table where my Dad would see it when he got home!!
Dad divorced mother when I was 17, and life got worse than before, she sold my Best Friend, an Exmoor Pony who I'd rescued,
to a stranger
, she "Borrowed" the money,
( but I wasn't bothered by the money!)
I have thought about my best friend, frequently over the years and hope that he was able to find a forever home with good kind people!!
When she threw me out on my 18th Birthday,
it was a blessing in disguise!!😎👍👍
I spent almost 30 years trying to put right something that was not my fault...🙄Silly me!!
So, I am truly sorry to hear that you were also afflicted in a similar way!!
My wish would be that you have found Peace and Happiness in your own life now!!🩷🕊️💐💐💐

I would do just about anything to find a Granny Witch who would be willing to teach me her craft. I've spent every spare minute of my life since I was 9, in between raising five sons, reading and researching the old ways but to learn the intricacies and techniques from someone who really knows and has that knowledge and wisdom would be priceless. I know my great grandmother from Scotland was a "Skilly," or at least that is what my grand father called her. She never passed on her skills, at least not to her children, because they all immigrated here just before the First World War and she stayed in Scotland. I know I have a talent and a heart for helping others in this way. That would be one of my dearest prayers answered if just one would cross my path. I would pester her and beg her until she promised to teach me everything.

Moms family is in Floyd county KY. My great great aunt Emma, everyone called her Emmy. She was a mountain witch. She was a healer and midwife, knew things that had happened or was going to happen. She lived to her late 90s

I was raised here in the foothills of the Appalachia in Alabama, but I had no idea just how colorful that they are and have been enjoying the channel about them however I'll never get to know everything about them but I'm willing to try.😍🥰🤩

A seventh daughter of a seventh daughter made my wart go away. It took only two days.
I used to do that when my nieces and nephews were sick I did that to give them less things to be worried about.😳 What I mean is when they were sick I would offer them a penny in order to make them feel better, so they would at least try to get better after the medical and doctor visit you know less stress in a little person 🙏❤️
