But 7 years ago, I will say the Ancestors whom the bible calls angels took me out of church and since then I set up Ancestors Altars in my home and never went back to church.

This is so inspiring! I am a spiritual healer and deep tissue massage therapist of 23 years. I have created my own craft and 3 hour Multi-Dimensional Healing Sessions, upon instructions from the spirits. It is so beautiful to meet another strong woman doing Spirits service just like me. But she has way more energy to create an empire. I would love to have a store with hand made tools for prayer but I just don’t have the energy like she does. Visited Haus of Hoodoo in New Orleans back in January this year. Felt an immediate sense of calm as soon as zip walked in. I felt like I belonged. Bought a special conditional oil along with other items. She’s the truth, because Hoodoo and Voodoo is the truth. It comes from a pure place.

I got emotional watching this. Teary eyed and just felt the love in her work. She’s such a beautiful person in and out ❤️ interesting I was looking for candles and her shop popped up. Then I went on here and was just looking up hoodoo and she popped up. Then I was like wait, she looks familiar. I take that as a sign that I did need a candle from her shop ❤️

Though Voodoo isn't my spiritual tradition, I can relate to so much of her story and frame of mind. My family history has been fragmented in many ways and I'm finally getting around to reconnecting with my own ancestors. I've maintained a connection to my magic and witch-self throughout my life despite it not being a family tradition. It's really validating to hear her talk about her spiritual life!

Regardless of where you are, we Diaspora Africans have traditions that were stripped due to slavery. We know the truth, and will continue to follow the traditions of our ancestors. Im happy to see people that look like us own Hoodoo shops. It's so rare, but it's changing for the better.

Visited Haus of Hoodoo in New Orleans back in January this year. Felt an immediate sense of calm as soon as zip walked in. I felt like I belonged. Bought a special conditional oil along with other items. She’s the truth, because Hoodoo and Voodoo is the truth. It comes from a pure place.
