I truly believe i went through a Spiritual Death and Rebirth. I have no other explanation as to what i went through. Still so fresh in my mind. I didnt know or lean into spiritually or let myself fully embody and accept the spiritual journey i has accepted? Was guided to start after i was tempted by a man. My whole world crumbled along with my entire existence and who i knew myself to be. I still haven't fully accepted the changes and sometimes still find myself going back to try and figure out what happened and why, as if i can fix it or somethin. I think that comes from this deep deep pain i harbor in my heart from the loss of my old life, from regret so much regret for the the decisions i made, the realization that i dont know who i am as much as i thought i did, that i struggle with complacency that I dont know how to let go of, I live in fear that dictates my life qnd they shame i feel for not letting go of the need fo control my life because of my childhood trauma and the determination to well fail. Give up on my dreams. Feel so alone and worthless. Struggling with not given up brcaude i keep meeting failure at the door. I don't know what to do be the happy, loving. Optimistic, brave, driven, out going thriving, go getter that i use to know. But guess thats bound to happen ehen you hsve absolutely no one who think your worth what you put out, naturally. All i get is pain and hurt. Crushed abd abandonded.

Visited Haus of Hoodoo in New Orleans back in January this year. Felt an immediate sense of calm as soon as zip walked in. I felt like I belonged. Bought a special conditional oil along with other items. She’s the truth, because Hoodoo and Voodoo is the truth. It comes from a pure place.

This is sad to see. Do not engage in what this woman is doing or else you will mess up the destiny Jesus has for your life. Witchcraft brings nothing but curses and these demons will turn on anyone involved in this mess.

Wonderful discussions. I related on all your topics. Especially mental health! The stigma is frustratingly still ingrained in society. One of my best friend’s just lost her husband last month. She is going through this right now too. So many people I know are experiencing loss through loved ones/fur babies/and close friendships. Myself included. Great show!

Let's get something clear. Hoodoo is not a spiritual tradition originating in the Dominican Republic. It comes out of the Black Americans tradition here in North America, the USA. We didn't use the term witch. We didn't do tarot either. Tarot is a non-Hoodoo practice that was later incorporated among some, not all Hoodoo practitioners. Candle magic was a more recent add-on to the Hoodoo tradition. High John the Conqueror is a herb, plant a root, it is not something summoned with a candle. I don't mind people of African descent from the islands practicing Hoodoo, but if you are going to do the tradition, then at least credit it where it comes from and I didn't hear her do that in the interview.
