Just tried this on the Analog Rytm mki and it works!!! Used a couple 165bpm breaks and instead of the ramp wave, the saw wave worked. Multiplier is at x8. If you set the pattern tempo below 120bpm you get some pretty bad artifacts, but the higher tempos are great! Thanks for the weird trick! ❤‍🔥

same to me but on digitakt... dunno if theres something with the trigger modes or what, but ramp didnt workd ;(

this is by far the wildest trick i’ve seen for the ol ‘takt!

similarly, in Bitwig, you add a ramp module to the sampler so that as you cycle through your, say, break, it'll always cycle through and retrigger exactly on 1. that way throughout the track, you don't go out of sync. this is awesome and i can't wait to practice this in the digi

Ah, cool - yes, I eventually worked out that the multiplier needed to be adjusted to make this work for breaks of different numbers of bars.

If only we had pingpong looping to smooth this out! Pleeeeeeease ;-)

    TIME STRETCH
    SAMPLE VIEW
    Sample start at 60
    LFO PAGE
Wave: Saw (not ramp dude cmon)
    Destination: sample start
    Depth: 60
    Speed: -8
    Multiplier: 16
(Reset phase mode Trig 1 both lfo's)
    AMP PAGE
add attack and decay 8 and 24 (for clicks)
    TRIG PAGE
    Trig 2
    Retrigs on
Trig length 1 bar or more
    Rate for resolution 16 start
    Move Trig to the left
@dialectrics has a great vid that simplifies this method
I ran this method for a long time but retrigs for whatever reason has waaaaaaaay less Trig hanging
And fine tuning for artifact buzz tooo

    • @Ruderoy318
      @Ruderoy318 Год назад

Also I guess for clarifications sake it's just two trigs the first and second but I'm gonna see if a trigless Trig will work too because the first Trig is to reset the phase of the lfos idk if it's needed as a true Trig in this case

is this still relevant somehow with the latest update? just curious...

    • @shaponess

Not really, new sample machines make this method redundant: werp produces the same result with less menu diving and does not take up an lfo to operate

The next iteration of digitakt, octatrack, or something that combines the best of both devices just needs to have time stretch. It shouldn't have to be a hack if we really consider it a "groovebox."

theres any way to control delay/time per step? sending midi CCS maybe? or something like that? it sound a bit glitchy IMO, need too smooth it out... any ideas anyone?

on the syntakt you can do this with the FX track, but currently it's not doable (without being hacky in overbridge) on the digitakt
