Loved this!! People think it's easy to do what Hyman does...you need to know what and where Connor is doing!! Connor FINALLY has the two wingers he has needed in 7 years with Hyman and Henrique!!

If what Hyman does was easy, every team in the league would have at least one 50 goal scorer. Every player in the league would love to score 50+ goals because it would directly translate into how much money they get paid on their next contract and how much ice time they get. And yet, only 4 guys did it this year. Which is even an uptick if you look at the past 20 years, when Ovechkin was regularly the only guy who could do it.
Ironically, he was also blamed for only scoring in one way. Yet, nobody could stop him or copy him. Same thing with Hyman, even if their overall status as players are in different galaxies.

Exactly. Just how Wayne Gretzky played in an easy era. Ok how was he the only one to score 4 200 point seasons lol.

that's a logical falacy. every team would need a McDavid AND Draisaitl in the first place for it to work. you could place almost any top 6 wi ger in the league in Hymans slot and they would score 40-50 EVERY season with McDavid on their side

This is great analysis. Far better than the Canadian television networks who just re-describe the play without EXPLAINING WHY things happen the way they do.

Oilers power play is something else all three players can read eachothers mind

To be honest, it's all 5 players for the Oilers on the powerplay that truly do act as one mind. The Bouchard shot from the point really opens things up for the Oilers on the power play now as it's as much of a threat as the other guys, and Nuge distributes the puck so well. It's always fun to watch the Oilers powerplay go to work.

Oh my god the haters are so funny. Hymans still gotta finish those passes from McDavid plus is McDavid not suppose to pass to Hyman like come on.

He gets unbelieveable set-up passes from the actual superstar, McDavid, and puts them in.
    Build him a statue!

I sense a slight increase in salary next season. Best value for your buck in the NHL by far in 23/24 season. He is NOT the fire hydrant Sather said could get 40 goals playing alongside Gretzky

You all forgot another option named Bouchard. up top, he can score a goal or two as well. Dude, gets no respect and was 3rd overall in points among defencemam.

Who cares where he scored from? No one griping about Matthews in his favorite spot.

Basically …just hang around the net and pick up McDavid’s scraps. Not a mystery….he will not be scoring any Michigans soon that’s for certain!

It’s not easy playing with McDavid, many have tried, but few succeed. You need a very high hockey IQ to even be remotely close to knowing what he’s expecting of you,and what he’s thinking..🫡
