NLE Choppa has a bright future ahead of him and will get better with time. Good luck brotha!
Wow, they are talking about empowerment and building generational wealth and people are commenting on these peoples physical attributes. 🤦♀️
RIGHT!
Right! I was curious about what other opinions and views on what they’re discussing in the video. So many comments about stuff that doesn’t matter.
I was thinking the same thing. SMH.
I know right. They're ignorant to these kind of conversations.Dummies.
I mean nothing wrong with the comments, people always cracking jokes. But it was a good interview for people actually watching for information too 🤷🏾♂️
I'm so glad we are getting away from trying to be flashy to owning! When I was 16 ( I'm 30 ) we were struggling to get a job now we are turning down 3 million dollar deals. Proud of you Man see you at the next RocNation brunch! - Business 101 "Content is King but distribution is Queen and she wears the pants"
i doubt he will be at the brunch with his mind he will have his own event.

Your a dumbass
For anyone who is confused United Masters is basically like a distrokidd but they actually promote you instead of only being a distributor
Laptop Legends or tunecore i was waiting to hear him say the difference
410Eazy Eazy Yeah United Masters is free though, no monthly frees or upfront cost. Just upload and go
true but the only thing is that distrokid charges you 20$ a year for unlimited content and u keep 100% of the royalties. United Masters takes 10% whatever you earn, so lets say u make 100k they take 10k
nicht al capone yea but u gotta pay for promo from that company
nicht al capone distrokid still takes a cut
Am I the only one who thinks Steve Stoute looks like the CEO version of Omar Epps 😂🤣
Steve Stoute look like he can only grant 3 wishes.
😂😂😂

there's nothing stopping artist from being their own distributors....ask master p
you don't need united masters either
How are you gonna submit your songs to online markets???
Stout is buddy buddy with movie and distribution companies. That's why Dame was so tight because Stout wouldn't plug him in. As you know relationships are important in the world of business.
Actually you do still need distribution do your research fam instead of just putting out false info that you know nothing about.
I never said they didn't need distribution. I said they could do it themselves...which means start your own distribution company. A little more time work and paperwork to do...but not impossible for off limits to do. Most niggas just don't want to do the work or don't think they have access to the same resources. thanks though
@@tb3616 Nothing is stopping artist from setting up their own distribution companies. a little more work involved obviously but the opportunity is available
Kid made a smarter move then most adults

they need to interview dame dash again.
Why?? So he can belittle everyone??? Insult everyone??? And lie???
facts

@@Unk.214 He is not the only one who thought like that. Jay, Biggs and Dame been thought that and was forced to take their route because labels didn't wanma sign Jay Z

Always great to hear Steve Stoute speak. Gives great jewels whenever he does and interview.. has fantastic hip hop stories as well.

This is a great interview and I could listen to Steve Stoute talk for days! I love his and Rico Love interviews, they're always giving a lot of great information.
They dropped so many jewels in this one interview, that this whole interview is a 💎
I love this interview and all the sentiments expressed. Salute. But, yo - the wife beater under the fully zipped puffer jacket is sicko mode. 😂😂😂

Steve Stout, an unheralded pioneer in the business of music and advertising. Always a great interview. Following him means you are following the money. He stays on my radar.
Steve is an example of someone who actually thinks before they speak
Damn c.god " that was the stupidest thing I've ever heard, u need media training". He killed that yng man.
Chase Flamez He needed to get him though. That shit was stupid for him to say. I’m glad they didn’t edit it out too. I know he’s 16, but the youth needs to know the history or it will repeat itself.
This was very important thanks Steve Stoute for the lesson, and for signing and believing in a young upcoming Tennessee artist such as Choppa. It gives us artist such as myself, twice the belief that we can really make this music stuff happen.
Dizzle Da Prince I like how he’s just throwing him into the fire and letting him learn on the fly ..best teacher is experience I think his next time at the breakfast he’ll do a better job
Well its been 3 yrs hows the music??
BLESSINGS THIS WAS A VERY PROFESSIONAL INTERVIEW ON BOTH SIDES VERY PROFITABLE INFO I WAS INFORMED & INTERESTED
This kid is going to win as long as he puts the work in & Steve stoute continues to be on his end. I’m rooting the youngin on!!
United masters has been the best choice I’ve made as an independent artist. Artiste seriously stop signing your life away OWN YOUR SHIT👏👏! #OWNERSHIP word to Nipsey 💙🏁💙
I think after Michael Jackson died the whole music industry got shooken up and started changing the whole way of thinking when it comes down to their music.
That happens when they killed Sam Cooke.

I appreciate this, dropping jewels and knowledge. Turn your listening ears on!!!
I'm a entrepreneur and a truck driver and I would throw it all away to STEVE Stout intern brilliant man
9:20 he dont want to talk about 50 lmao 😂

Choppa: well we wear chains
Charlemagne: You need media training....that is the stupidest thing I've heard in my life😂😂😂😂
Scram Carolina that was so funny and sad at the same time
@@Naeem_El lol definitely funny and sad at the same time oh well he should have known he wasn't going to get away with that with Charlamagne!!😂😥
Cthagod was on him quick.🤣🤣🤣
@Israelite ambassador Know YOUR HISTORY. We've been wearing gold around our neck far before slavery. We come from kings and queens. So his comment is still inappropriate.
Sure the brother did not really have a grip on his concept but Steve Stoute should have checked Charlamagne for that because as a guest and is a young artist that can't be something that is allowed publicly for his image furthermore Charlemagne reacts to things so emotionally and I'm surprised that brother didn't check him for that on his own behalf either
Char there's a way to educate young people without being disrespectful.
When u say something stupid it's deserved. He isn't a baby, his dumb ass should know better. Maybe he needs to quit rapping and go to school.
Stfu
@@oceanprime5009 I dont know you nor do I care to....but I do know that if you cant formulate a better response than some acronyms you shouldn't speak to me.
@@saugabwoy You think school give black history? No. My problem isn't educating the 16yo...it's how he was speaking to him.
At that age he should have a decent foundation on his history. It's sad because most black kids think this way and have very little knowledge of their history. That's why they're letting these white kids use the n word freely around them.
Love this interview full of jewls and jems!
I got an invite to join the movement, thanks United Masters. Im so excited💪
Anyone can distribute themselves via CD Baby, RouteNote, etc.....but the promotion side of United Masters could be useful.
46:43 he's trying to say black people wear chains around their necks and it looks like shackles that slaves wore on ships..(still, he should've just left that topic alone smh)
But jewelry has been our thing before slavery
I think CtheGOD was too quick to shut him down he had point if they had followed the logic , he was not mentally equipped enough in the moment to articulate it
Choppa said he don't see anything wrong with either the noose or the chain.. he definitely need to read up on some of our slave history
His is young we should give him a pass for his ignorance
That may have hurt his career
I told my nephew about this about two months ago, sending him this link!
Why doesn’t this interview have a million views?! Steve Stoute is a legend, getting that book.
Aye Tennessee we in the building bitxh !!!!!
Facts! 615!
Finally! After years since his last interview here!
This la dude was just in the hood a month ago now he on the breakfast club that shit crazy. When I first heard shoota flow it was at 100k I knew it was goin blow quick and it did. And he around my age 16 or 17 whichever he is much respect ya heard me.
Good stuff by Steve. He broke down the evolution of record companies and how times changed so that artists didn't need them. One thing artist do need now is development and (social) media training
This is one of the best interviews on BC educate the young people.
BeautyLee 💯
I thought from the title he reincarnated Diddy’s artist Young Choppa City from Making The Band from back in day.
Thanks for the knowledge!
Shout out the young brotha Choppa. Reminds me of the good ol days.
How you not even gonna put NLE Choppa name in the title 💀
I mean they put it up there now aha
Originally I wasn't gonna watch this until I seen they changed the title to "NLE Choppa" But then I ended up staying for Steve Stoute, dude is interesting af. He knows alot about the industry.
J Cadney they did dumbass lol
Charlemagne u say a lot stupid things also & twice as old as the kid... The kid was saying we celebrate chains ⛓ & bracelets that can be connected to slavery... he tried to express something that an older person is suppose to help him articulate the message he felt... we shut young ppl down too much & wonder why they don’t listen
Kicks Since80s Africans were wearing chain well before slavery, so how does his analogy works exactly. Please stop thinking blackness started with slavery
KCK ROX I’m not saying he was correct I’m saying that’s where his point was coming from... a 16 year old hasn’t obviously been informed that far back... a 30+ year old man was suppose to inform him not call his statement stupid especially when he makes dumb statements daily... thx for helping prove my point more... let’s inform each other when it seems we’re misinformed 🤷🏾♂️
Ibrahim Osman never viewed chains as just a woman accessory but to each is own
It was a noose though, bro. With a blackface. And by that age, you should have a good foundation on your history. That wasn't the right connection he was trying to make.
Charlemagne was right.
Love to listen to intelligent people, have a good rhythm & Banter , Good Conversationalist is like good Music ,Churrcccchhhh Salute !!!!!!!
Too many gems in this interview. Knowledge!
27:37 to 27:57 Choppa was on stuck 🤣🤣 😂🤣 😂
Wtf😂😂😂
Master P been saying this for a decade now. Facts
Great question, great business questions. 👌🏽✊🏾
That's crazy how much nle has open up personally wise
Damn who interview is it😂
What Charlamagne did Saying “You Need Media Training” , is the Reason Why Young Artists Don’t Fw Radio 🤷🏾♂️.
Thank you! I thought the same thing. He used what could have been a teaching moment to demean Choppa, it was rude and disrespectful and for that reason, I can’t take him serious.
He jus mad he lightskin
& he not
Listen to it again, we can’t get sensitive when elders correct us. he did educate him and also saved him from saying something else ignorant(not educated on a topic) . This kid isn’t the first kid to think or make a comment like that, now he knows.
Clark Clark you can educate with out calling somebody stupid my nigga. That’s insulting.
Very informative steve is a brilliant business man. I admire his grind 👍🏾
2:51 when choppa gave up on putting the cap back on and started drinking the water again I died😭

1. This is beautiful. When the legends came in they were happy to be there Finances weren't considered Many times they were taken advantage of So to see Steve use his knowledge and experience to help the younger brothers be there own boss and not be owned is lovely. This is what its about.
I searched up the right thing and got exsactly what I needed thank god thank luck baha
“You were the executive, technically you were the master.”
I respect charlamagne for speaking the truth. This guy is the reason soooo many artists were robbed. Now that the wave has changed and the old guard is getting pushed out...he rebranded himself as a savior. Nah....you gotta a lot of people to give reparations to SIR.
I got 67k streams and I only got $35.24. They also claimed my shit on soundxchange and has yet to get back. im bout to start a lawsuit for sure and maybe class action.

Woke up the other night with the mindset of knowing my worth and what I can be I KNOW I’m GREAT I KNOW I have TALENT I KNOW If I get the push behind me I can be sitting with Stoute myself I’m 17 I’ve always wanted to work with United Masters OFFICIALLY since I started when I was 14 but I never had the push I record , mix , master , post and promote all of my music I believe in Manifestation I can Manifest anything with Words by speaking it into existence and Working to Perfect my craft In order to make it u have to cause controversy I believe like look at all the legends they did something that someone didn’t like and it came to the light You have to stand out be yourself and never be afraid to be yourself Malcom X , MLK , Marcus Garvey , Web debois , They took a stand that people didn’t like but now we look up to them as legends I have a story to tell and a point to prove that I will make it no matter how much negativity and hate people give me Believe in my message join my movement for Black Excellence “BABY JAMAICA” but it’s not all for African Americans it’s for people with the same vision I see TAKE YOURSELF SERIOUS YOU CAN MANIFEST WHAT YOU WANT If he can do it I can do it and if I can do it u can do it ‼️‼️
This was an eye opener, will prob go cop that tanning of America and read it. Great interview.
