I'm surprised she didn't end up on death row, even if it got commuted, considering she apparently masterminded this and used herself and her child to lower their defenses. Tiffany Cole, who recently got commuted, was basically on death row for the same thing, except her gang buried the couple alive as opposed to drowning them.

If you’re going to refuse to have a middle man on a sell of half a million then prepare for the worst. I would assume they had a firearm on the boat but at least invite a 3rd party to witness the showing. If the amount of Sellers/Acquaintances out numbered the buyers this wouldn’t have gone do so smooth. The suspects had their own 3rd party to witness the sale… So why wouldn’t the seller?
Invite a few friends you’re close with and trust, if the buyers feel uncomfortable about that then they aren’t serious enough to spend 500m on a yacht. Better to be safe than sorry specially if you’re cutting out the broker.
I understand this could be doing too much but refusing to work with a broker and selling a piece of property for 500k is a massive risk.

I've sold cars, firearms, musical instruments, tools, and I don't even bring people to my house, I always do it in a parking lot with cameras- I can't imagine making a 500k sale and going out to sea with buyers who I've never even met before.

This was one case that always stuck with me. The white guy was was actually a parole officer. You would have thought he would have sensed something. Skyler used to be one of the power rangers. This was sick!!

He got my community service signed off, and I helped the kids with art stuff. He is one of my favorite people. he would have his peoples back just like he did in this story :/
