She wanted to do it and then felt bad about the sex cuz of the difference in age but instead of going to the police she did the dumbest thing ever.
For real. At first I'm like they probably got her to find out where Merlin was staying so they could rob him, which would have been messed up in itself, but she straight up set them up and lied for no reason. Wow

@86Firebird it's hard for a 15 year old to make a decision and truly decide if it's something they want to do or not. When they about 17, 18, 19 yes. But some 15 yr olds still in middle school. Complete blame goes to her. Wasn't trying to make excuses for her. But that's the world as I see it. When I was 15 I wanted to fit in. And that's what she did. She faked drunk to fit in. Lied about her age to fit in. If she really wanted to be drunk she would have. But maybe her not actually drinking was that indecisiveness along with apprehensivenss. Still not a victim. The on screen relationship between Mr Hightower, Cedric, Bullethead, Lydia and Romeo was one of the tightest I've seen on a sitcom, they really meshed.

Glad you covered this bro! I heard about this story years back when I was in college in the mid 2000’s which made me not trust any girls I first met and always stayed cautious. What I heard was that Merlin was set up and killed when he picked up a girl for a date. Instead of her coming out her house two dudes pulled up to the car to steal from him and shot him. But I’m glad you clarified the story. RIP to a legend!

There was a story similar to this around my way. A well known local basketball star named "K" and his boy hooked up with some chicks at a hotel. After hooking up, the guys refused to take them home and kicked them out of the hotel room to find thier way home. One of the girls lied and said they were S.A'd. The girls' brother and another guy later came to the hotel room with a shotgun and shot K in the neck close range. K ran after getting shot didn't get far and collapsed and died K's friend was able to escape. I was 17 at the time and K was 21. This tragedy taught me a valuable lesson. When it comes to lust and women, Just because you could doesn't always mean you should. It could cost you your life.

I met the liar's mom during a random weed purchase in Anaheim, CA around 2009. She happened to be with the seller and couldn't stop talking about her daughter about to be released as we drank in the 7-11 parking lot. It was like a little fame thing to her.

He reminded me a lot of PAC. I was blessed to meet both of them in person back in the day. I met Merlin at the airport in la. I met pac in Indiana at a youth event that he was a special guest for right after he got released from jail. They both had real charismatic personality types and it was something similar about their vibe like they could have been long lost brothas or something and didn't know it. It was surely similarities no doubt. If I'm not mistaken Merlin played the Tupac based character in the movie played.
