It's hard to think of two characters as unrelated to Spider-Man as Namor and Hawkeye. Specially given that this came out in 1991. Such a weird choice of characters.
I totally agree! We're they picked out of a hat or something? The human torch, daredevil, Firestar, morbius, but they went with Namor and Hawkeye. OK keep Namor, add the hulk doctor strange and silver surfer and make it a defenders game.

It seems like they wanted to give everybody the exact same moveset so you could play as your favorite character without worrying about them being weaker than a better pick
The design and animation of this game is so awkward that i cant remember one good picture of it in any game-magazine. The game is awesome, but i cant get my head around of what the programmers were thinking. And we cant forget the random choice of allies. Blackcat? Sure! Hawkeye? Ok, i guess…Namor? Namor?! What!??!
Man, when I was a kid I thought this game was incredible and wanted a port of it on the Super Nintendo not realizing it was impossible. Now I look at it and notice things I didn't notice as a kid, like the terrible sound effects, the recycled boss battles, Spidey's terrible posture, and how boring the game is compared to X-Men or The Simpsons. Good to see this finished till the end.
I think I only got to play this one time in the arcades. But I had always thought that Namor and Hawkeye never made any sense for a team up with Spidey. Oh well.
This game is horrible 😆 🤣 😂. Besides them being in bad shape, what's that dumbass sound the enemies make when defeated? Plus, what in the hell was Venom saying??

Sub mariner has a barrel chest, Spiderman has a slouch. This is epic.
I always loved this game. Especially how it went from a beat-em-up mode with GINORMOUS sprites to a wide scale platforming mode.

I was thinking along the lines of Daredevil and Iron Fist. Power Man could likely do this game by himself.

I see that a lot of people agree that the inclusion of Hawkeye and Namor was weird. They should've had the Human Torch and Daredevil playable instead.

There's a PC Engine (CD-ROM) version of Separation Anxiety that would be cool to watch being played.

Me personally I would swap out Namor for like Daredevil then it would have been made kinda sense . With Hawkeye it could go either way
