Love this scent. Always have. Thank you for clarifying the amount of sprays needed. Over spraying is definitely necessary. Loved the review, very accurate.
This is one of my favorite designer fragrances. I get 4 to 5 hours longevity and 1 to 1 1/2 hours projection. Not great, but better than most of the other Varvatos fragrances on my skin. It is inexpensive enough that I can live with the longevity and performance issues.
The most honest to goodness fresh cut tamarind in a bottle happening here. That combined with dates is what dominates in this beauty. I think 99.9% of people don’t have the tamarind reference experience and that’s why they just say “smooth spices”

Yeah man, varvatos is a solid house. They don't have a bad scent in their library. Joy got it right...very unique for designer. The one he reviews in this vid might be their best scent. Also jv vintage is a banger, but i tend to reach for this one more.
John Varvatos along with Vintage are classics. To be honest, I have never received a compliment while wearing them...but I don't care, because I love how they smell...just wish they performed a bit better.
How bad is the performance to your personally? Joy is in love with the scent but sounds almost like you need to keep your nose above the bottle or spray like crazy to enjoy it.
@@TheAtl0001 I get about 3-1/1 - 4 hours before I can no longer find it on my arm. JV and JV Vintage open quite nicely with deep, rich, dark, aromatic wafts backed with leather and tobacco...but 20-minutes later and it's a very soft, almost skin scent, and I'm fortunate in that fragrance last longer than average on my skin. Even on clothes the scent is soft and disappears in 5-hours. I've oversprayed these, and it will pack a punch at first, but 45-minute in and it's a skin scent. Five hours is the longest they've lasted, and COLD weather will slap it down to where you can't smell it longer than 2-hours. This is one of those scents that you think, "This one is going to last a full day" at the office, only to discover it's quit working and taken a lunch break before Noon. LOL! I'm jealous of anyone who gets great performance out of this one. In all fairness, it may work better is hot weather...but it's not scent I would enjoy smelling during the Summer months. It's made for Fall and cool, crisp nights IMO. Cheers.

Great review and accurate…beautiful fragrance…need 8 sprays for sure.
It’s a cooler weather note combination but performance-wise its really best suited for moderate temps.
I bought two bottles because of the crappy performance. If this performed it’s a 9 all the way.
Love this scent. Very fresh mild leather and I get decent performance. For me it’s not the type of scent that I want to project like a beast. It’s a little more intimate close setting scent. Great review. Love your channel. Keep it up. I love your positivity and calm energy
This fragrance sort of does not have an opening. However, it will fill the room if you wait for an hour.
Vintage is my favorite. Older women in the office appreciated that scent. I’ve been told “that’s my new favorite cologne; what is it!?”

Don't go to fragrantica for notes, it has the notes mentioned on the back of the bottle.
This is one masculine fragrance.
So tis a 2- 4 hrs max? So it should be more like $30 because of the poor performance and $80+ based on scent?
I feel this one has some of chanel egoiste idk it reminds me of it
