I finally saw them live in December, one of the best gigs I've ever been to. The energy they bring is absolutely incredible. There were no feet standing still in the whole venue.
My eyes lit up like a pinball machine when I did my daily dose of checking yee olde tube to see whatever had been updated via KEXP. I saw the words Hot Chip and Cheryl and was feeling pretty ecstatic. I personally felt the tracks off their latest album sounded even better live although I missed the chimes off 'Hungry Child'... In retrospect I am absolutely convinced my dad died of chemotherapy right on time to their 6 month death sentence plan he was given when finally diagnosed. Please get second opinions from doctors. I hope it isn't Cheryl's time to leave us yet.

From the start, the student DJ's played progressive, cutting edge artists. They've continued in that spirit to promote Indie/Eclectic music, which also seems to be your taste in music, as is mine. Also, we in the eastern U.S. are 6 hours behind you, and KEXP in Seattle is 9 hours earlier than you. Edit: their live guests are recorded months earlier, and there is no way, except maybe on Twitter or Facebook, to know at what time they will be posted. You can also listen to KEXP's broadcasts from their website. Have a great night!

I like the live feel they give to the songs in a show, with live drums and all, but I m missing some of the punchiness of the studio, mainly the lack of sequences and arpeggiators. The drummers is awsome in time keeping for an electronic act, but the basses, some of the synths... it's a bit thin. Long live Hot Chip. Luv you guys.

Hot Chip is one of my alltime favorite bands and this Live on KEXP sessions are always awesome. Love the hostess Cheryl.
