- As we get ready for what could be a novel dry race in the summer of 2022, we take a look at what new arrivals we have on the World Cup circuit. There are new bikes from brands both big and small but interestingly, there is perhaps an even greater extent of secrecy than usual.

Henry kills every segment he's in. More screentime for Henry!
Agreed
ow heck ya! I want that Ben & Henry Show!
i can tell you something about the specialized: it has a carbon main frame and a milled alloy rear frame. (i guess this will maybe change and they only have that to adjust more while its in the prototype stage. the frame is hold together by titanium links (atleast thats what it looked like to me.) and it does look like the kinematics are similar to the norco range. Thats what i saw when i talked with finn iles
Its so cool to see how far bike science has come in the past 2 decades
I thought my 2015 specialized Enduro was peak MTB, little did I know things would drastically change just a few short years later.
Why where have you been the past 2 decades?
@@323johnnybravo hmm, well not sure things have changed that much in the past 5 years, or even the past 20 years.
So the 4 bar linkage is 20 years old, a real high percentage of bikes are still a 4 bar design.
Coil shocks, not really much better than 20 years ago, with the exception of lockouts and hydraulic bottom out adjuster.
Hydraulic brakes have not changed in 20 years.
High pivot point bikes where around 20 years ago.
The frame made like a I beam style looks just like a Empire AP1.
Yeah MTBs are better now, better geometry and better wheel sizes, but really overall it's just a marginal gain for a 2 decade time frame.
The reality is your 2015 bike is still a good bike, marketing makes you think it's not because they want you to buy the new stuff, which is actually just old stuff (high pivot) older design than your 2015 enduro.
@@superchickensoup Being 6’4 advancements in bike size , 29ers and geo alone were a total game changer for me. Not sure how I ever rode those tiny bikes.
@@323johnnybravo 2015 bikes are good.
"Me with my 500 dollar budget mtb"
"Interesting"
We need more Amy factory racing tv 😂
Those Polestar bikes are beautiful.
Anything Henry does, turns to gold.. Great video!
Staching up your game eh. Nice snot trap, sir! ...Uhmm I got hypnotized by the bar... I guess i need to revisit this here after I have recovered, a bit later on. 😅 Cheers, Henry!
best mtb journalist this guy.
Henry is the best!!! He is making this videos super cool
The problem with buying a new bike.... Is that every year they "REVOLUTIONISE EVERYTHING" and make you feel you need to "upgrade" again.
Obviously an illusion because 99% of us can't even ride at the level where those new improvements makes a difference.
Humans like shiny things though.
Yes and no. Although high pivot is not something new but quite rare to be seen on frames nowadays, this tech would definetly help me not to get my knee injured. Im tall and high pivot takes a way a bit of that pedal strike that affect your knees. For most of people its a non important factor, but for me 6 foot 3 tall it makes huge difference. And now when I look at the enduro frames, there is little to no choice. Forbidden, Deviante Highlander and older Commencals. There is not much more to look for and they cost huge amounts of money for a piece of aluminium/carbon. Also all that kind of new tech adjustements in especially super enduro bikes can make your bike almost a trail bike and almost a dh rig depending on how you set your bike and whetever you use flip chips like in Yt capra.
That 'tache looks great hovering over that big fluffy microphone.. 🤗
The Gamux bike is the dream. Gearbox, belt ... and good looks..
And the new Swedish bike..
Yo the new demo is going to be sweet 🤘👍
Miss Henry tons. Glad to see him back on the screen
Damn it, i was looking forward to that forbidden dh bike ! Great video still !
Great video, however I couldn’t stop thinking about how much Henry resembled his microphone with that new “moustache”.
Loving the stash!!!
Companies: "We are taking a prototype to a World Cup race with all the MTB media and fans present"
Also Companies: "We don't want you taking video or photos of our prototype"
These videos are awesome!
They finally gave you a proper mic and I can actually hear you talk.
oooOooOohhHhh uhhhh "Renegade P.E Teacher" could be a touchy one hahaha
My PE teacher was a touchy one too.
Mustache is competing with the dead cat in your hand, Henry!
keep Henry on for more
3:15 Someone really misses the old Avid Codes by the looks of it.
its the 4 bolts! :D
@@HannyDart I'm gonna repaint my old avid codes to look like these ones.
@@dionfullysus haha good idea! i still have a green code-calliper :'D
I wasn't going to comment on the moustache but since you raised the topic.. you should dye it pink.. represent the Pinkbike community
Actually, let me just check out the DH bike pits video of 5 years ago so I can look at my own bike and feel like I'm riding top notch stuff
Henry looks like he's seen top gun
Back in the 90s. T.H.E. Had disc covers. Just like the fenders.
So, I'm wondering if anyone has seen an enduro bike with the kind of bottom bracket protection as here displayed on the the Gamux DH bike at 1:14, one minute and 14 seconds! Basically, the added requirement over this Gamux Sego DH bike would be being able to slam a OneUp210 in a 470 seat tube...
I imagine it'd have to be a Pinion bike, with the bonus of no rear derailleur but downside of a little heavier bike.
I like the Gamux Sego DH S1 bike's geo with variable reach 450 to 470 and chainstay 455/460/465 (of course a bit long for my like being used to 435).
I feel like the different version of a mountainbike that I am looking for is slowly making its appearance now as 'what a mountain bike is' is reaching maturity in more and more areas!
..though I don't really care about it being high-pivot or not.
With a moustache that makes him look like your little brothers first attempt at facial hair. 🤣
Why did henry teleported from gmbn to pinkbike im confused😂
Henry needs to keep the stache! IDK how much riding you've been doing but stache's are scientifically proven to make you faster in the corners!
The tash suit you Henry
Very good video....
Evil Henry is actually Good Henry
OMG Henry, what did you do to your face?
Why don't we see more of Henry??? #pinkbike
No way! 👏👏👏 😎
"Police that mustache"
Hack to keep mud out of your calipers: Stick a piece of duct tape over them 😉
AFR TV sounds like it has legs
sounds like im in love 😢
More xc tech!
Nigel Mansell's grown his moustache back, so it must be okay then. I guess.
Those poor Swedes :(
Time to get mad that they released the video before the photos😡
I miss Henry
Less 'stache more gash.
