Thank you Kathie many light bulbs went off in my head thanks to you sharing👍👏🏻✝️♥️
At the risk of being mundane - as an 81 year old beginner I felt I really profited on your beginning comments about organization and preparation. I’m going to put your advice to work and stop jumping into chaos. Thank you!!!
You are a wonderful teacher! You are explicit in explaining your own process of painting in a way most artists are not. Thank you for the generosity in sharing your techniques and and your exuberant personality. You are very uplifting during this dark time.
I love her discussion of the connection in what we do to the landscape and the phone lines. So happy for this video. She is a wonderful painter and teacher.
Amen Kathie you or so true I started just likeyou .An i have been painting for 55 years ❤
Love it! Don't paint it how it is, paint it how you want it to be! Thank you for all the tips. The article in Plein Air magazine is great.
Brilliant lesson Kathie. Thank you for all these tips! I will add a backscratcher to my kit!😊
Kathie you or a Blessing to me. From Sherman Texas❤
Wonderful demo by such an enthusiastic, energetic, imaginative, creative artist! Her energy shows in her paintings...Thank you for introducing us to Kathie Odom!
Thank you your painterly manner helps me be more accepting of gaining my own style and not focus on how my drawing is not so precise
I am loving the enthusiasm and energy and skills of Kathie Odom. I am an equipment geek and buy and make things that will make my kits work well. So I have the wine glass holder which I use for water when I do plein air watercolor. I have both the Guerilla Painter and Open Box M versions. The Guerilla Painter version fits the small turp can perfectly. That can is about 3x5 inches and available at big box craft stores, art stores or on line. This is a great idea. It secures the turps firmly to my box so it is not swinging around after I use it and it is at the level of my palette which is also helpful. With firm strong hands and the right pair of pliers one could bend one of these with wire as well if one is inclined to do DYI things.
Thank you for being so generous and inspiring!!!
So encouraging…idaho
You amaze me. You inspire me. You speak of my roots in rural areas. thank you
Love your paintings and common sense descriptions.
"do not giveup" ♥️
This is wonderful. Thank you for the opportunity to learn from you.
Hi from Oklahoma!
She's a great teacher!
Fabulous work Kathie! Thank you Eric for being so generous while we all in this crazy time. I bought Susie Baker video and this peek into all your videos helps to choose ones that are relevant to each artist. Cheers from Canada!
Happy to hear that, Jan! And thank you. :)

Thank you for your generous, inspiring video! beautifully done. Is there a special type of camera you would suggest for reference photo?
if you can explain, how you know the brushwork is very good.
What's a grey glob in the bottom right corner? and is that cad orange between cad yellow deep and cad red light?
What brand pochade box is this?
Kathie mentions in the video that it was an Alla Prima Pochade. I also own one (they are made in the USA).
