- This latest PTB was actually pretty interesting, def needs a lot of tweaking but the removal of flashlight macros is definitely gonna be nice in the future, my ears will rest easy now, plus the slow clicking is so funny.
Note that this PTB's finisher mori system is not coming to the next chapter update

It actually sounds like a legit sturdy flashlight, wish they would up it’s life 10-30secs depending on the rarity and get rid of add ons, maybe replace them with something else.
tbf the change doesnt make any sense, they could just remove the flaslight click sound after click twice instead of making it feels laggy af, btw bhvr said its because "photosensitivity" so they can just put a photosensitivity mode in options to remove the lights, actually with 4 man clicking is gonna be the same for people with photosensitivity if they give fs like in ptb

Just so ya know, unbreakable + exponential is actually slower in the PTB than it is on live.
32 / 2.35 (100% exponential + 35% unbreakable) = 13.6 seconds on live servers compared to 45 / 3 (100% + 100%) = 15 seconds on the PTB. You can't use unbreakable infinite amount of times currently, but if you pick yourself up with exponential or soulguard you don't use unbreakable. It only gets used when nothing else is able to pick you up and still provides recovery speed boost even when deactivated. The only thing that gets a speed boost in the PTB is unbreakable by itself which is -1.15s

People are just stress testing it because it’s new. Nobody is going to go through the trouble of slugging over and over and over again if this goes live, and you don’t get as many points for it either

Everyone can just pick themselves up in 45 (22,5 with unbreakable) seconds now without the help of others.
If you stack Perks you can get yourself up in about 16 secs.
maybe they didn't predict the killer to rush the survivors with the 45 second wake up. guess the devs don't play their game

If they'd change the finisher mori to require something like everyone being hooked twice, It'd be solid, but the way it is rn is just terrible.
And meanwhile survivors just enjoy free base unbreakable until those 2 hooks? I don't think so buddy.
@@CJWII Wasn't talking ab the unbreakable changes as I'm not fond of them and don't exactly know what I'd change about them other than just taking it away entirely. My comment was only in regard to the finisher mori system. Not good to incentivize slugging to win the game without ever getting a hook. Makes for horrendously boring gameplay imo.

Now imagine if they remove or nerf the built in mori make it so broken won’t let you recover yourself off the ground, in which makes more perks and add ons meta, which allow slugging to increased time limit which allows killers to continue a chase if they want to for a short period of time instead of worrying if they have boon exponential and unbreakable. Another thought is that just make it like unbreakable where you can only pick yourself up once and if you run unbreakable it adds another charge which makes it 2 times. While not completely killing off no mither since it would have infinite pickups.

I come to you from the future. Basekit unbreakable didn’t not make it in the game and they are currently testing out a similar mechanic against facecamping.

Tbh, I don’t care about clicking being gone that much besides the fact that it helped me as killer figure out which survivors were more cocky than others.
However, if they add some delay for T-bagging, than that’s just gonna be silly.

I think it should be 45 seconds to pick yourself up and not affected by anything. Keeps you from being slugged for an entire game but still allows cooperation.

As someone that has a macro for flashlight spam, much needed change tbh it really didn't fit the game it was more or less just a fun bug because auto clickers/macros were clearly overlooked when developing the game.
It’s not a bug. If it was they would have fixed it a long time ago. Also why do you have to justify your opinion by saying you have a macro?

You can move around the map to ty and hide from the killer so they don't hook you if they pick you up after slugging, so you can self-recover in a safer area

The only thing I loved is flashlight change. It so annoying to see 3 flahies in your game as killer. You have to either run Franklin's or shadowburn. It sucks because I was trying to adept with executioner (Pyramid head)

Fun Fact: Clicking uses half a second of battery life on the flashlights, they didn’t change anything, they just made it force you to use charges.

Honey, this was the public test build, BHVR themselves said they aren't 100% sure if this PTB will make it to live servers.

@@zacharyjackson1829 This test build won't even make it to live servers in the next patch/update. They purposely put it out early on the PTB to get the community's feedback. I highly doubt they'll go through with base kit unbreakable and the new mori changes. If anything, dead by daylight is extremely balanced at the moment, minus the maps and broken add-ons/medkits.

I dont think these changes are any better than before. They changed getting POTENTIALLY slugged for 4 min - which happened rarely imo and my experience - to pretty much slugging is the way to go because you can win the game in 3-4 min with 0 hooks, but its not 4 min straight, you get down - up - down - up - down - up - down up - until one bleeds out or the survivors make a major mistake. As soon as one survivor dies, one way or the other, the killer pretty much won.
And i don't like that we all call it basekit unbreakable because you literally HAVE to bring unbreakable with you or your team will be screwed with your slow pick up.... It seems absolutely awful.

What WILL happen is that one person gets tunneled to death - then one put on hook, the 2nd slugged and then you search for the 3rd to win.

I dont like the flashlight update; not because I like the clicky clicky thing, but using the flashlight to transfer that in a moonwalk or just showing the survivor m8 where you are or where something is was a really nice use of flashlight without burning its juice
The moonwalk part makes 0 sense. It’s just to show off. Moonwalking is also really easy so you dont need a flashlight

Just give us base unbreakable. Even for a longer time that's fine. Then put a diminishing value in hook timer. 175% decrease in hook speed if killer is within 16-24 meters. Whatever people want. Camping is now still possible, but nerfed. Tunneling is only annoying, because the state of pressure vs hook camp is too tight for the average solo q player.
Finishing mori is fine: FOR GATE STATE. That's it. Not for the whole damn game. For endgame collapse.

The only way I see both basekit UB and finishing Mori being fair is if UB has a base time to get up of like 1min+ (since perks can change the time) and finishing mori wait till after everyone’s been hooked 2 times

I really like this rework. It made a reason for slugging and it also gave a nice counterbalance to one hit Downs. I don't know why it was never adapted to the game and I don't think it ever will. Survivors can get up off the ground pretty quickly but that's only if you have the perks to do so
Personally im not so sure on this change, not because of the clicky clicky, even though it doesn't really bother me. I really don't like regression and this change removes a spinning technique. I'm glad it helps photo sensitive viewers but surely there must be a better way to do this, rather than removing a technique people have put in time to learn and perfect. My first thought is that the screen goes black instead with potentially a crosshair in the middle once fully blinded. Idk I'm sure there's a better way to solve it without removing a technique. In the end it doesn't really matter too much though cause I can see it coming back in a different way already just wish there was a better way to remove this

The WORST CHANGES that could happen in dead by daylight. The only good change is the flashlight nerf .
My issue with the flashlight spam fix is that 9/10 times I click the flashlight to communicate with my team or if I fuck up a flashlight save I’ll throw a couple clicks out. Idk why people get so in their feelings about flashlight clicks at most it’s just mildly annoying.
To be honest the biggest issue is the people who use a macro to absolutely annoy everybody with how fast it clicks and how loud it is so I'm okay with it going
I can understand what you're on about but 90% of players click their flashlight to annoy people. I swear me and two other survivors are fixing a gen and this Nea is clicking her fucking flashlight for no reason just as we started the match. She's been doing that to killers and sure enough she got tombstoned by Myers.
The fix was for epileptic people.

I really think they should’ve limited the mori to their perks and when everyone but the last survivor is *dead* dead and left unbreakable and other anti-slug perks exist how they were. Really hope BHVR legitimately takes the time to think about this update like they’ve claimed

I love how someone was just expressing their valid frustration and people dive bomb them assuming they are a “toxic” macro user. /s Flashlights on the PTB are a problem - the cool down for clicking makes it so you cannot readjust timing - and it also makes the battery life waste a lot faster because letting go of the button doesn’t turn it off immediately either, the beam stays on. - I can’t fathom how the people in these comments could be so incredibly immature and actually prove they are the toxic ones… it is kind of sad.
Making the game more killer sided and everyone will say it’s not.
